Well I need to get all the bikes out tomorrow and take the 95 S2 for a shake down run . I will be staying close to home as well. Lynn wants to get her bike out to so I have no idea where we will end up. |

Yee-haw! Got out and rode around today. Went up Hwy 115 for a little ways then came back and went up Hwy 67 to Westcliffe. It was cold going up there once I left the valley and the sunshine behind. Coming back on Hwy 67 I had a long straight with perfect visibility and no vehicles so I twisted the throttle to see what she would do. I hit 120mph for the first time. I think I had the advantage of a slight downslope. I wish I had access to a track all the time to safely push the limits. The XB9 makes it hard to be "moderate" and keep to the speed limits. But I try. It should be warmer tomorrow! |

Jody, I am glad you were able to get out a bit. I got the XB12R out for about 50 miles and the S2T for 15 miles. I fouled the plugs in the S1W and did not take the white S2 out since I was having problems with one of the mirrors which is now resolved. I have a minor clutch adjustment to do and may try to take her out after work for a better shake down run. Next time you are over I need help with a wireless printer. I think the damn thing is broke but I may be doing something wrong. The only way I can use it is to run a USB cable to the laptop. BTW: I got my birthday present early. A MacBook... Still learning but I like it a lot. Frank |

Jody, I will be working. By the time I get home the sun will be falling along with the temp. No big rush on the printer. I don't print a lot of stuff anyway and I can still use it. Make sure you enjoy the mild temps while you can... Talk to you later. |

I envy you that got to ride today and anyone able tomorrow. Steve (Maximum) stopped by the shop and we got a good visit. Got out of there as the sun was going down, but still took the "long way" home. Right after I turned west on 52, a kid on a ricer flew past me. I couldn't resist. He almost wrecked as we passed 100 and saw me right on his tail. I chuckled and let him go. Run bird-dog. Z |

Wow, what a nice day. Got in about 60 or so miles today. It has been just over two weeks since I last rode the XB and it feels like I just got it. I love this bike. Also, turned 24,000 miles on the ride too. Bike runs better than new! |

John, I'm jealous. It certainly was a beautiful day today. Glad you enjoyed your ride. Saw several bikes out. We're doing some remodeling in our home so that's what we've been spending our time doing. Next nice day I hope to get out. Have 4 days off for the New Year. Maybe, just Maybe Oh and have a Happy and Safe New Year everyone |

Well I was only able to ride to and from work today...but I'll take what I can get! It was 32 degrees this morning and about 3 miles into my 25 mile ride my Heat-Troller failed. I had to finish my ride to work the old fashioned way...just deal with the cold. No more 7 degree rides to work for me until I figure out what went wrong (and fix it)! |

I didn't get out yesterday, but I did today. Today I took it easy and explored some side roads that included dirt and gravel. Just trolling along in places in 1st and 2nd gear and enjoying the sun and the views. I also stopped to take pictures of the long straight I referred to on my Sunday ride.
The total distance of this straight is probably a little over two miles continuously visible. Now from where this picture is taken there is another mile straight back but this hill creates a dangerous blind spot to start any sooner than this. And what is at the end of the straight?
Now going back to near where I started there is a roadside "Point of Interest".
But more importantly, a reminder to us all: http://tinyurl.com/7jsn3g

I had a crazy guy on a 1125r show up at the house today. Of course it was daylight when Zac arrived and relatively warm but he waited until the sun was down to make the 100 mile trek back North. Sorry for the pics but it was getting dark fast.

Got home safe and sound a little while ago. It was 29-30 leaving Frank's. The wind kicked up around Castle Rock, tho, and it was 50-55 the rest of the way. Time well spent... with friends. Happy Old Year/ Happy New Year ! Zack and Lawana |

Happy New Year to all of you. Hopefully we can all get together for a group ride this Spring like we did in 2008 when we all met and rode down to the Royal Gorge area. That was a fun day. |

Happy New Year everyone. Glad you got home safe Zac. We'll be up at High Country on Fri with Dan's bike. It may need surgery. I'm already looking forward to the Spring. have plans of doing some track time at Pueblo with the MRA. May this year bring on more and more miles! |

"Jammer, do you have any Ulys on the floor?" Do they have any Uly's....Does a bear...ahhh you get the idea. I was up there last Sunday and they had like 5-6 Uly's...at least 2-3 X's. They had about a dozen total Buell's...the most I have ever seen at a local dealer. If you are heading up Frank, let me know...maybe I can meet you there. |

Hi Frank, we'll probably be leaving Castle Rock about 0830 and it takes about an hour to get there from here. The bike's in the truck ready to roll Steve, if you're up there it would be great to meet you. And Zack, it would be great to meet you too. I know you have the day off tho. We could have a PARTY!!!!Maybe demo some bikes. |

Spent a good part of today at High Country, even tho it was my day off. Dan and Julie brought Dan's TT in for service and I went in to meet them. While we were looking at Buells on the showroom floor, Steve rode up. Then a few minutes later, Frank and Jody showed up.
We hung out and visited for a while, a few test rides were had and then Frank had a surprise for us.
Thanks for the great day everyone! Congratulations Frank!!! Z |

Hi John, not sure yet. Dan thinks it's the rear cylinder - NOT WORKING. We dropped the bike off at High Country today and spent THE WHOLE DAY up there. It was great seeing you Frank and Jody. And a pleasure meeting Dave, Zack, Alex and Steve. Oh yeah, and Happy Birthday again Frank and you enjoy that new toy. Hope your ride home was an enjoyable one. Got to test ride a CR and way cool. I was actually able to touch the ground with both feet...barely. Definitely a very different sound to the bike, lots of power, very comfortable. Almost felt like I was being pulled off the bike as I was excelerating. Not ready..yet..to trade in the Scg tho. The problem is if either Dan or I get one, the other will have to have one too. So, 2 new bikes is not in our budget right now!?!?!? (Message edited by jumpinjewels on January 02, 2009) |
