OK.. I had the weekend to be lazy and since it was rainy I decided to take advantage of it and done some playing around with the 01 X1 and the 99 S3T. On the 01 X1 - I polished out the rear tail section and did the shifter linkages. Took about 6 hours total.. The 99 S3T - The bags finally got done being painted so i installed them and got the cleaned up. Matt |

Thanks guys.. I did it by hand... and now paying the price.... my fingers are SORE!!!! but... it came out nicely. All i have left is the brake pedal which will be done tomorrow and thats it!! Matt. |

How about using that Mothers polishing ball in a drill. I just got one but haven't used it much yet. I did get the smaller one. |

I have used the ball and drill for polishing before... but it does get a tad messy if your not carefull. Matt. |

Nice job on the tail matt. Came out real good. BTW, those of you who switched to the "improved" shift linkage, does it really make a big difference? Worth $150? Just need a little encouragement to pull the trigger... Thanks. |

kalali, The improved linkage came on this one, but my 99S3T has the other one... I really like the improved better. Just seems easier to shift with it and not as much force is needed with your foot. But... thats just my opinion. Matt |
