Is that a custom header with a stock can? And what about those cylandrical shapes next to the Head? The other odd thing I notice about this bike is the brake lever and the thing (peg?) hanging from the well....footpeg. Funky signals and front disc as well. Mmmmm odd little bugger.... | ||

I know that I'm going to catch some flack for this, heck I asked myself what I was thinking, but honestly I think I might have to buy one of these. I have ALWAYS wanted an old-school, hard-tail, chain-driven, jockey-shiftin, foot-clutchin, spring-saddled, fat-tired, outlaw-mindin, carb-chuggin, KICK-STARTIN, chopper!! These have got to be some of the coolest thumpers I have seen, they are REALLY affordable, and this way I can keep my Blast as the road-huggin fast-trackin handler it is!! Thread Killer! I have seen alot of bobber based off jap engines. I like it. Thats it. The american chopper in the 60s used the Honda 750 engine. It was cool, nobody knew any better, and that was the end of the discussion. Of course tastes change......and we have come full circle back to bobbers and muscle bikes. | ||

Well up here in ND you can pretty much make anything street legal (really easily too!!) In fact, there is a golf cart driving around on the roads that is actually street legal! | ||

The baby bobbers look cool, but I'm sure would get old fast. Remember a Rebel 250 looks just like a Harley, until you get up close (or a transvestite looks like a woman, until you get real close... or home). Dont know how much they cost, but have fun. The Honda 750 came out in '69 and very few of any memories I have include a chopped 750. They were out there for sure, but far less common than the chopped Harley or British bikes. Any chopped Honda to me was a wannabe bike (and still is). Un-American then and now. Just cuz I couldnt resist (obligatory photo):  | ||

You do have a point Erik LoL. Like I said though, I could put the blast engine in one of those frames, work out a jockey shift, and still have my *as described above* bike! The whole bike with everything Is just over 2 grand, however you can get a complete rolling chassis with everything you see in the pic minus the motor. All other parts come with brakes, tires the whole works PAINTED for right around $1500. I think that might actually be a cool/good route to go! | ||

This is the chopper of my youth..before Easy Rider  No thats what I found at 6 am this morning. The window froze and broke. I drove it into Lansing and dropped it at the State Garage and picked up a Dodge 3/4 ton 4X4 short box extended cab lumber wagon with cruise control that I couldn't use because the roads were so bad for the trip to Cheboygan. If I was going to find anything this morning in my front yard....THIS is what I would have rather found  This is what I remember what choppers looking like...well just about  |
