They look nice. Supposedly going to produce some on this side of the pond. Hopefully that allows it an affordable price tag. |

Yes Billetmetallic, it does look like a ripp off which is why I said "if it came from Buell". It also looks like an improvement on an aleady done classic/timeless design. There are some concepts that stand out and will always be classics from the time they were first made to all the times they are re-created. Look at the modern mustangs and Chargers. They took a classic design and made it modern because that original concept proved to be the best that was ever done for those models. I just wish Buell had kept a tuber in its line up. Leave the absolute carving for the XBs and keep a version of the tuber around with a big inch motor for more of a muscle bike that handles. That's just me dreaming, that's all. It's also what would get me to buy a new American Made bike. |

Jodies bike would be a nice start for a new "Steel Frame" Buell, good suspenders, ZTL tech, ddfi3 rubber mount, oil in the Swing arm, HID headlight, billet bits all over, 20 large OH yeah I would like that. CF or Plastic body work, 6 speed cassette tranny and belt drive. A designer / specialty bike made in limited numbers oh to have my defication in sequence to build such =( |

I like the idea jos51700 had to make a short stroked x1? with the harley delphi injection system, It was from the anyone running custom fuel injection thread but im not sure. The liquid cooling is huge step away from harley. But could you imagine working on the motor of the CR, I saw a cross section cut out of the motor in the CR and it does not look fun! Hey old dog! |

Josebuell = Jodie the red and white lightning clone, IIRC, his bike started out as an S3, he fitted various bits of body work to it, including what looks like, s1 tail, manta tank, xblightning fly screen and an X1 chin faring. Chassis mods: fitted xb wheels and brakes, xb push shock and swing arm, xb front end, front head mount. other mods, oil is in the swing arm as Xb, hand made exhaust, locater pins for the Swingarm, isolator bolt covers, licence plate bracket, billet dash with digital speedo. numberous small parts and mods Its finished in a tastefull red / white layout and garunteed to get any true tube frame fan drooling.. BTW almost all metal non stock parts he made him self, http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=47623&post=1082599#POST1082599 Hey Pbird hows things? I agree that the tubers were great products in their day, and I certainly love my 2. However, we have to keep a larger picture in mind. Buell is a company. It has people who work for it, who depend on it for their (and their family's) livelihood. As a company, they need to stay competitive in the market in order to keep making money. No money = no product. We all know this. I don't think Buell would have much hope of staying open if they didn't have a family like the Loki bikes. Love it or hate it, *that's* where the market is headed, and Buell is smart for becoming a player. Do I think a 'retro' limited-edition tuber would be cool? Absolutely. Do I expect Buell to do anything like that? Not really. For such a tech-oriented manufacturer, it'd be a huge step "backwards" - and as we all know, Buell prides itself on being at (or beyond) the 'cutting edge' of things. |

What about a revised tuber with a XB motor, swingarm, and the old style s1 fairing? Kinda like Joes, but with of course the above mentioned....... |
