Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has found a good touch-up paint for the silver-gold metallic panel on the original Buell bags. I tried a Dupli-Color "Light Driftwood Metallic 33" GM 457 and WA 5322 but it is not a real good match. The touch-up applicator exterior looked real good but when applied not so good. Thanks |

I am also interested in the same question. I had called the bag folks for the silver/bronzish panel and they said they could send me regular sivler but the color is specific to Buell and cannot send me a replacement. However I do like the black on Midnightriders bags. |

I painted mine orange to match the bodywork, so I can't look and compare...but...it's not the same / similar to the primary cover, is it? Or the tail section? If it's anything on the bike, you should be able to get touchup from Buell. |

Hi Ratbuell, Well I checked this morning since this is the first time all week that I could make the comparison with natural light. It is definitely the same color. So does anyone know what color the primary cover is? Is there a touch-up applicator type available? Maybe Court can tell us? Thanks! |

I found this. No mention of the primary, but I believe it's the same/similar color to the tailsection as mentioned here. I'll check when I go out later today to make sure... M0300.1AAYBQ PAINT, TOUCH-UP, MAGNESIUM TONE, BRUSH <xb12x> WHEEL, TAILSECTION (LH, RH, CTR), HANDLEBAR CLAMP, GRAB HANDLES, FRONT MODULE CASTING |

Thanks for the info. I have a scratch on one of my bags and the HOG brethren give me no end of grief about it. Of course, they all want to "swap bikes for a while" every time we get together, so I'm chalking it up to jealousy. Can't wait to apply the touch-up and watch as they struggle to find another blemish on the bike (there are a few, but they're down low and these guys have bad knees). |

I saw on here someone had a bike that had a sign under the tail section facing down saying something like "only gays can bend far enough to see this". That should put an end to them searching your bike |

Just get it so filthy, they can't see the scratches. Works for me |

I took mine off and painted them with Dupli-color "Med. Marblehead". It's a silver, and now they match the triple trees and all the silver on the bike instead of the grab rails and engine cases and tail section under the seat and.......... |
