Sorry about that Dave, forgot for a monent, then i will bring the Diet Pepsi, but really a hotel is fine with me, camping is OK, have to see when the time comes, plus what around the shop??my guess is we will figure it out when the time comes
how about the garage???just kiding, but who is going to put you up for one of the Illinos/Wi events, as they say turnabout is fair play,
on another note, if, lets say we could figure it out, would you(Dave) be interested in trucking out to the flats???there seems to be a growing trend, and since you have the rig, and i dont mind driving and helping with gas, maybe just maybe we could get you a semi vacation while creating a tax write off for the boss(advertising) and get a bunch of people in the 130 club, some thing to think about??
if we dont plan early, it will never get off the ground, Bomber and i considered it, but we lack a tow vehicle, and there is no way i am riding the bike 2000 miles(not enuff time i dont think)
so what do you say, not looking for a firm yes, a maybe would be fine with me |

Actually that sounds pretty cool. And it would be a cheap vacation too. I dont know how much it costs to race on the salt, but I amsure you have to join some organization. Someone here will definately know the $$ involved.
Vacations are good. cheap vacations are better. |

the flats thing is lookin better and better . . . I'll be able to put a hitch on the thunder pig this year (volvo turbo wagon), so we'll have a tow car . . .. got trailer, anyone? |

Actually you may have to join the group, but its cheep and to do the 130 thing if i remeber right was around 150 i think, and the starline hotel/casino is cheep to, so it could work out, 2000 miles sucks but my feeling is the wives(at least mine) will fly into vegas and drive up in a retal car, then blow all the cash in the casino, since i enjoy vegas this may be the best of both worlds, at least for me, and as far as a trailer, its still in the air but i have an open, for 3 bikes, but it may be sold, and another enclosed for 2, which has not been bought yet, the only reason i asked daveS is because he might be able to get away and promote his dealership(aka semi free vacation) has a bigger trailer/truck, so if we get the right group it could be 4 people driveing 1 truck, and wouldnt kill us so bad, once we got there, and some of the others interested, and are not interested in driving could pitch in on gas and fly out, again the retal car thing, sounds like an adventure, and adventures are always fun, but again if we dont start thinking about it, it will be to late, so lets get some input from thoses of you who have been out and what to expect FMJ??? |

Reno is closer than LasVegas to the Flats and Wendover, and SaltLakeCity is closer still. If the fly into 'vegas I'd guess they'd just stay there or if they're going to be driving that far anyway they'd probably just drive over to Palm Springs or LosAngeles and the Walk of Stars instead. |

Planning is scheduled to begin and committee assignments doled out around mid-January.
We are currently entering the "30 day Elf Break" to let emotions, tempers and sore muscles ebb prior to crafting the "2003 Plan of Attack".

Yes i will have to agree with Bomber, we are not pushing the salt deal, but it takes us a little longer to get things set just to get out there, and since we dont need the cool down lap, we can start a little early, i am sure we will in the end lag behind, so we really do need the head start, again this is just thinking and seeing what is avaliable, and what we need to get, dont worry, around mid Jan i am sure there will be questions upon question, however we will leave that part out, until the time is right
And on a side note again it looks like 120 covers, up to 5 runs and membership, not tobad at all

Ya know...... you are a fine lookin' guy for your age.... OOOPSSS, not to worry about Brooke kickin' my buttocks if you beat her to it. I also will attest to CJ's lack of food at her place, but, eh, she talked me into a free couch, so I can't really complain... stay up till 3 am and you start getting hungry again, though...
I want details on the salt flats as well. And I respect Court's need for a haitus from all the hoopla, for sure. The salt flats website and the badweb will probably be a good start.
It just HURTS to get so dang amped up about riding at this time of year. Maybe after the solstice spring won't seem so far away.
I, myself, saw more black ice on the road on the way into work this morning... that stuff is just as nasty as it gets, so I think my riding season is over early this year...
Bummmmer... Bomber, CJ and Charlotte.... hmmmmnn now, are you gonna tell your wife or not... that will dictate the scheme of things a little bit...
