What does this chart mean? I use my bike on track only. I think my RPM range is ~7K to ~10K. According to this chart the TM pipe is about the same as stock in this RPM range. Please someone tell me I'm reading this thing wrong!

That is comparing the race ECM and the stock ECM with the TM pipe. I.e. both are running the TM pipe. And that is the stock ECM w/o the reflash I think. |

Looks better from all RPM ranges until 8500 Shoot Dris a note. I'm betting by detailed tuning, you CAN get top end improvements and I'm betting that Dris CAN get you a map that will work for your motor. (Message edited by slaughter on December 17, 2008) |

well not sure which ecm that is, i think its stock but thats with the stock map. so maybe with tuning it would rise. talk to easyrider. drag racing u shift at peak tq, road racing i would think since most time u spend at part throttle u want to be running 5-8000rpms to keep in the power. But a sprocket change might help keep u riding in peak tq. im no expert. just my .02 |

Thanks for the replies. The chart makes sense now. It's comparing ECM's not exhaust systems. I've heard too many good things about Dris to doubt his products and work. I just couldn't understand what that chart meant. I'm praying the pipe and map come through in time for Las Vegas 1/23-25. You really should go Steve! |

It's comparing ECM's not exhaust systems. From the twin motorcycle website: "Here is the TM exhaust (TM=Twin Motorcycles) compared with the BUELL STOCK exhaust." WTF is unclear with that description? |

According to this chart the TM pipe is about the same as stock in this RPM range" At 7000rpm there is almost 10 ft/lbs of difference. As you come off the corner at your lowest specified rpm. There is nothing "about the same" with that. That is a huge gain. |

I'll point out my own error, that the torque is in Nm but still a healthy gain. |

Duggram, your graph is the TM exhaust (TM=Twin Motorcycles) compared with the SARON exhaust with the same ECM no changes only changing the exhaust. One of the early ones. This is the latest only TM exhaust. This is after trying to get the pulse in the exhaust exactly where I wanted it. |

Thanks Dris. Your graph also shows the torque bump Stony was talking about that will help coming off tight turns. But I'm particularly interested in the top end power. The liter bikes blow by me, hopefully this will help that problem. |

I can't wait!!! I've only trouble with the 1098 ducatis. I can stay with them, just can't pullaway. I can pull away from the others in heavy twins class. It will be great to be more cometitive. |

Doug, Are you going to be racing with Litrebikes? What classes? I don't know of any racing clubs that force Twins to mix in with the I-4 litre-class bikes... except maybe in novice where they usually match bikes strictly on displacement. |

Yes, at Arroyo Seco. There you're allowed to move up. Unlimited Superbike is often won by a very good expert on a very fast 600. I'm certain the $ am & ex races are open respectively. In heavy twins the fastest are the long time experts on sv650s & they rule light weight twin. I'm counting on Dris' pipe & his future engine mods |

Tell me if I am reading this wrong but the HP and torque lines have to cross at 5252RPM or the run is no good. If the dyno operator knows what they are doing they will know this for sure. It's not theory it's a mathematical fact. I hope I am reading this correctly and if I am this dyno run is not being done correctly. |

Your theory is only correct if horsepower and torque are plotted "on the same scale", and if torque is plotted as foot-lbs. Otherwise, the lines can be moved all over the place and where they cross does not determine if the dyno operator knew what he was doing.} |

Thunderbox, The 5252 RPM constant is based on lb*ft of torque. The torque in this diagram is in N*m which will change the constant. I also do not know if the HP is metric or mechanical HP, which will also change the constant. The 5252 RPM constant is only applicable if we use lb*ft of torque. When the units change, so does the constant. Mike |

That pipe is the best looking (both appearance and performance) and sounding pipe to date! When will a production version be ready for market? Any idea on cost? |

Actually, If you look at 5252 RPM the HP looks to be about 84 and if you convert the Nm (about 115) to lb-ft, it is about 84 as well, which concurs with the 5252 constant. Mike |

We had some problems with getting the right steel. and it's x-mas now holiday as soon as The manufacturer has A price i post it here. |
