So I love my Buell but i want to extend the seat/tail section on my 08 XB9SX as i am a larger guy and wouldn't mind an extra inch or two for the passenger. Just curious if it can be done and what it would take? |

Extending the subframe would be, I imagine, as "easy" as getting some longer/stronger bolts where the frame attaches to the subframe, fabbing some kind of spacers to go between the subframe and frame, and extending the portion of the wiring harness that passes to the frame. THEN there's the problem of fabbing up a custom seat/seatpan. |

Well I would think you could fit a Ss tail to it since the opposite can be done. IMO it would look weird but that's just me. |

R tail! I'm six feet even, and Ann is five feet six.

Yep, even if I prefer the other way r front with S tail, I think the R tail would look more at it's place then a Ss tail on your bike. |

You cannot "bolt" on a Ss tail section. the upper mounts are wider then the S and R frames. I modified a R tail to fit my Ss frame, but had to modify the upper mounts. |

Does anyone know if you can fit a uly seat & tail on a firebolt? I have to replace the subframe due to the PO flipping the bike in an e-stop. I like the Uly seat and flip rack. Would the battery or shock cylinder need relocating? |
