Will I hurt something by working the throttle with the key off? (Message edited by duggram on December 17, 2008) |

it does nothing. your bike is not carburated so you are not spraying fuel into the combustion chamber. On efi you are just opening the butterflys on the throttle body. withe bike off the computer does not get a signle to squirt fuel via the fuel injectors stack |

Will I hurt something by working the throttle with the key off? Only if you high side that thing off of the lift. |

You won't hurt anything even with the key on. |

As long as you keep making engine noises while your pretending to ride, you shouldn't mess anything up since the engine is running, even tho the key is off. Time to turn on Discovery channel and pretend my couch is a submarine. |
