I went in to my local Buell/H-D dealer to pick up some parts yesterday and I was stunned to see one of the V-Rod Muscle Marisa Miller posters around the corner on the back wall behind the counter. Cool!
"I don't suppose you guys have any of the posters left?" "Ahh, no. A customer actually brought that in and gave it to us."
Yeah, I know the poster is an H-D thing, but this comes after finding out that they didn't know about the '09 Buell Products Catalog (let alone have a copy), we don't get Fuell, we don't get the promo stuff you get in the U.S. and we don't have Inside Pass...
I know we're halfway 'round the world, but would it be that hard for Buell to throw a few catalogs, some copies of Fuell and some hydration packs in a crate with a bike??? I get the impression the dealer is sick of asking for the stuff and not getting it, but I don't know whether it's BMC not sending the stuff or H-D/Buell Australia not asking for it...
Hmmm... Maybe I need to harass someone for a marketing position at Buell Australia or Morgan & Wacker...
Ok, there ends my rant... On the plus side some '09 models have started arriving (although I think every one is pre-ordered), the white 1125R looks *very* nice, and we get the XR1200. A very kind BadWebber is also sending me a copy of the '09 Products Catalog
Lemon, We live right next door and don't get any of the Buell or H.D. freebies either. We gave the U.S Celine Dion, you think they could at leas tgive us a T Shirt at an I.M.S event in return. And no......we don't want her back. You may keep her.......Your welcome!

Lemonchili has a great point. Looking around, it seems everything Buell in this house is either reprinted, hand-sketched, downloaded, photocopied, or an unlicensed version bought on ebay somewhere, except the bike itself! It would be nice to see a full colour copy of Fuell one day, that actually has the original staples holding it together! Even the clothes are more often than not copies sold through the Australian dealers, not the real mcoy. P.s just for the record, please keep Celine Dion and vegemite is disgusting, you can have that too!

The Hydration Packs were a good Idea but they leaked. I wound up throwing out the bladder and keeping the Buell bladder cover that went over it. I replaced the bladder with a better one. I can pass on the Fuell Mags too and any freebies I get when I demo the Buells. I usually give my demo freebies to the people who work in the shop, they aren't allowed to participate and get them. Only if there are any left. K

Hey! At least we churn out quality from this side of the world! No No, No Celine Dion's from Oz. From the little "land down under" hails the likes of AC/DC, Hugh Jackman, Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman, Midnight Oil,INXS, Chili Pepper-Flea, Kate Blanchett and many more traffic stoppers. (I'm guessing not a lot of traffic would actually STOP for Celine Dion!) Oh...and...(ahem)..Wayne Gardner, Casey Stoner, Mick Doohan and Mladin! Not to name drop or anything. p.s-the BeeGees is not an adequate response to this, as we think they suck too!)

Please take Mladin back, I'll send you my Fuells. I think the Bee Gees are Manx, no ? Even if you don't take Mladin back you can have my Fuells just give me a mailing address.

"men at work video at 33 seconds" Spotted it... don't think I've ever seen it, though I was about 12 when the video came out!
"Bee Gees are Manx" Oops, got that wrong. Yes, they were born in Isle of Man, began there musical careers in Oz... So we're not too blame!!! Stayin' alive... stayin' alive...
Thank you folks soooo much for the offers to send Fuell and posters, you guys rock A couple of people have already offered to send stuff, so I will graciously decline with much appreciation of the offer
Back to my original rant, why don't they have this stuff in the dealers here?
I work for a mechanical/air-conditioning company, we have about 30 people in the office plus about 20 site people and 20 service techs... There are quite a few bike riders (7 or 8 at least), including two of us with Buells... Any day of the week you will find at least one magazine in the lunch room from Jaguar, BMW, Ford or Honda that someone has brought in, and I'm guessing our lunch room is like many others... If the dealers here had Fuell, or if it was sent to owners here it would spread the word of Buell that little bit more. (My workstation is covered in bike and car pics, but probably half of them are Buells... Everyone here knows I'm a Buell freak!)
Not sure if I can stop Mladin from doing what he does best That boy knows how to ride!

I did some girl and bikes poster work for the 100th anniversary and it was not allowed to be sexist. Had to be in motorclothes and suitable riding attire and helmets had to be seen if there was a bike in the shot.
