Court (aka Don King)is living proof that "You can't go home again"............... via Courts 'special short-cut'. The time at the Buell factory was very special. It's not often these days to encounter such emotionally attached, caring, workers. As was said earlier, it was awe inspiring and very moving. Several times, I had to distract myself(like it's that hard, being blonde and all) to keep from tearing up in front of God and everybody. That the speeches from all the guys were sincere and heartfelt was obvious and the employees at the factory were visibly full of pride. And well they should be. The assembly line, from soup to nuts, was a sight to see. It was amazing to see the changes that have happened in the past couple of years. Improvements are being made daily and the employees are a major part of the smooth operation I was witness to on Friday. Any way...I was just saying that this was the best weekend I have spent in a very long time. Thanks guys and gals!!! You folks are my heroes. And a side note to Aaron...I didn't cry at my daughters' wedding. Brian, you and Richard seem like family to me and I am always happy when I can be included in your party plans. I appreciate your words. They are not taken lightly. Scrappy-doo(Richard) You call me when you decide to come down here to kick some ass and I will find you something spectaclular to ride. My bike will be done by March. Jim Bantz, Jim Higgins, Dave Guess, Josh and Mariabelen(and family), Henrik, Court and Vicki(girl you are a saint), Blake(aka, the Giant), Aaron and Richard, Anony R, Wes and Wes, all the fine folks at Uke's and everybody else that participated in the Big Buell Bash, You folks ROCK!! Words can't express my feelings for the awesome time I had, thanks to you!(besides you have surely gotten tired of reading my drivel by now) Susan Wilson, you were sorely missed. I am so sorry for your loss. YOu guys have had a heartbreaking few weeks. I wish there was something we could do to lessen your pain. |

Seems all you had fun this weekend at UKEs plave. Really wish things had worked out so as I could have made it. On another note, just got to appreciate those Brit pub(lication)s. Picked up the most recent copy of Performance Bikes on saturday. They have a decent couple pages on Black Bear Buell/Harley's M2 race bike. Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm |

Thanks Ferris! It's been a long time since '68 when I dragged my sorry ass home from 27 Months in the jungle. Thanks to all who went before me and those after me. Wish I had my Buell then. It would have scared Charlie clear into the hills of Cambodia and we all could have come home sooner! Kerry |

Is there a way to get a duplicate "Signature" package? I left a message about 3 weeks ago and never got a response from the representative at Buell (Forgot her name). Thanks. |

Char... Great minds think alike. I posted a similar question on a different thread. Was beginning to think he followed you home after learning your bark is bigger than your bite. LOL |

I was expecting to see Blake when he flew in Saturday. I guess he got delayed, so I went home. I was hoping to hear all the embarrasing stories of the BWB and SacBORG members! Now you know what he was writing in the notebook...blackmail notes!!! |

JQ, as usual, you are a fountain of excellent information. The rules for thunderbike didn't seem to change much if at all. I don't recall if the liquid cooled twins had unlimited displacement before or not. No biggie really since, by design, they can't over bore as much as you can with an air cooled design. |

Landspeed Louise Injured in Motorcycle Accident Boys and girls, Father Gess picked this off the web.....let's get those cards and letter flowing to "LANDSPEED LOUIS". This lady is a Bonneville Legend who has taken TEAM ELVES under her wing. Join me and the rest of the Elves in wishing her a speedy recovery. Court Los Robles Regional Medical Center 215 West Janss Road Thousand Oaks , CA 91360 11/07/02 Louise was involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday and was in the ICU at Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, CA until Tuesday. She is now in a regular room and starting the long road to recovery. She has at least 3 broken ribs and a couple of small punctures in each lung, though the Drs' are not to worried about them they are more concerned with the prospects of pneumonia. She is in good spirits but has a lot of pain. They are pumping her full of morphine and monitoring her closely. Thank god there are no signs of spinal or neck injuries as she can move all her extremities. She had CAT scans of her chest and abdomen this morning with iodine to check for internal injuries do not know the results yet and when I left just after lunch there was an orthopedic surgeon on his way to check out her shoulder which is where she has the most pain. Will let you know more later. Thanks, Mick Lanigan (Husband) |

It's hard to take anyone seriously when she doesn't even know what kind of bike she rides, judging by her profile. duh! So what were you doing FOB when everyone else was having fun in east troy? There's more respect to those who play in the game of life than sit on the sidelines and watch. Even tho I wasnt there, I was on the track, on my Buell no less. |
