Superbrace! Special thanks to EZ for making this brace possible. He did the research and found a brace that should work and bugged the guys at Superbrace to make sure. With minor mods the Ninja 250 brace worked (they do the mod-brace is ready to install). The Crossroads brace may be available eventually from American Sport Bike or perhaps American Sport Bike will start carrying the SuperBrace. (Message edited by gearheaderiko on December 01, 2008) |

Oh Yeah , forgot to post these. It's pretty snug on the fender and it sits a little higher than the fork seals. (Message edited by ezblast on November 29, 2008) |

OK - who wants a Fork Brace? - Chris at http://www.superbrace.com/contact.html call - ask for The Ninja 250 # 4431 modified for a Blast - almost identical, however, unlike most braces - their tolerances are in the 1000s and so they must mill accordingly, a regular brace he said would never have this problem, however, they would not work as well either. Price for polished is $143.95, for Black is $168.95 - there are 7 in stock and more will not be made till January - no charge for the tiny bit of mill work. Erik is to pick his up in a week or two - ?Thank you Erik O.! Well - thats it folks all the info you need to get a Fork Brace of your own. EZ |

Fork Brace: As you've already been informed by EZ, fork braces are now available. I met Chris and Scott at Superbrace and Scott was very emphatic about getting the right measurements for a perfect fit. They are also on the beefy side. So please put your order in. I'd hate for Ez's, Scotts, Chris' and my efforts to be in vain. If I get the first fork brace installed, I'll post a picture. Everyone at SuperBrace was very pleasant. It seems as if someone there told them that customers were their #1 priority! A good sign. |

Not needed, besides the obvious. Though perhaps you could e-mail or call them for a picture or clarification of what they are. |

Okay I got my SuperBrace Fork Brace on Mon. but just opened it up today to check it out. It's labeled as Part #4431 for the 250 Ninja/Buell Blast. Now on the website the order is for part #4431-01, so I'm hoping this will not be a problem as far as fit. |

Naw the difference was in the thousands - they did a quick polish ream and voilla - it will work on both the Ninja 250 and the Blast - whereas before it was just the Ninja. EZ |

I posted all the Superbrace pictures up top. Chrome without the fork protectors and black with. Fork protectors are removable or can be added on later. Black looks really good and the brace isnt as mammoth as the pictures may portray. Chris and Scott (and seemingly everyone else) at Superbrace are very helpful. They believe they have one Blast brace left! They'll make more if they can sell them! (especially since the Ninja 250 is as popular as the Blast-dual market for this brace!) |

Thanks for the pics guys, it looks great. Mine is on a UPS truck right now. I wonder if I can install it right away or if my wife will wrap it and put it under the tree. The only way I could justify it right now was to tell her it was my "christmas present" from her. lol. |

I will be picking up one of these very soon. Not hard to justify the cost on these (to the wife)...but it makes the bike safer. Another great find EZ... |

Anybody measure their super brace - specifically - the length mounted from hole to hole and the hole diameter? EZ |

I'll second that. Do the shields have a function or do they just look purty? |

They help keep debris from collecting on and colliding with the fork tubes. The cleaner the fork tubes are the less likely they will get pitted/grimy and cause seal leakage. Clean fork tubes will also perform better (but I think thats negligible). |

Hole diameter: 2.210"-2.220" Hole to hole, inside: 5.060" Hole to hole, outside: 9 1/2" As measured off the bike. On the bike the SuperBrace fits flush so measurements arent possible. The measurements in .001 are by Vernier Caliper. The last is by plastic ruler! Hope that helps? |

Is there much of a difference between the Crossroads and Superbrace. Thanks |

They both do the job, the Superbrace is a more rigid brace, however, the Crossroads/American Sport Bike item is a quality item also, engineered to look good and do a quality job. I've only had to tighten the bolts twice on both sets since new, and I have never had to worry about front and rear swapping places on hard front braking. If I where racing, I'd get the Superbrace, but for the street either one will do the job equally well. EZ |

EZ: Do you have a link or information about the Crossroads/American Sport Bike fork brace? I looked on the American Sport Bike website and cannot find it. I called Superbrace back in April to place an order but they were sold out. They claimed to have put me on a waiting list and assured me they will manufacture more (they are still have it on the website). It has now been 6 months and every time I call to check the status they still do not have any. They claim they are too busy with other things. I thought we were in a recession and they would want the business? They should really take it off the website http://www.superbrace.com/proddetail.asp?prod=4431 %2D01 It's kind of false advertising, especially when they will accept a credit card but wont sell the brace. (For the record they never charged my credit card). |

Tortoise: Only April? My order will be one year old next month. Every time I call I get exactly the same story. The have given me 5 delivery dates. All of which have been fictitious. I already cx'd the credit card I used to place the order, so I am not worried about the money. It's just like you say, "False advertising". Chris C |

They say 3 weeks to 4 tops, they had a production halt for 1 week due to the HD announcement, but then where reminded that Blasts are a large number of Buells made, and so the Blast is back on their mfg. schedule. EZ |
