I think once people start taking the trash barrel off the bottom of the CR and the hard saddle bags they screwed up and put on front it will be a much better looking bike. |

Buellinachopshop, the CR looks a whole lot better than your freakin' V-rod, ya troll. Besides being able to kick it's a** backwards and forwards. Go to a H-D website. |

Imonabuss, I think John is entitled to his opinion as you are. I also think the CR is ugly.Does that make me a troll ?? I don't think so. |

No, a troll is someone who posted almost 100% negative stuff about what a site is about, de-railing threads into his topic. Does that qualify you? It qualifies him. |

I think the new r1 Is ugly but it is the best sounding IL4 I have ever heard. The cr on the other hand I think is sex on wheels, you all can say its ugly all you want it looks better than the new R1. |

If someone was excited about what a company is going to release and was let down to there own opinion it is not Trolling. If it is.... then you have been guilty on this site as so have I as so as many on this site regarding different topics.. |

Buellinachopshop, the CR looks a whole lot better than your freakin' V-rod, ya troll. Besides being able to kick it's a** backwards and forwards. Go to a H-D website. I don't think I would characterize BCS as a "troll". He and I have had LONG discussions about the direction of Buell and what Buell has to offer in the future. He is simply VERY disappointed in the styling direction Buell went with the 1125R line. He isn't knocking the platform, but REALLY HATES the scoops. He's not alone. I don't mind them, but they are a strong distraction for MANY. I really HATE the hobbled together, recycled stove pipe, sheet metal muffler. There will be after-market mufflers available to fix the problem I have. I can only hope there will be scoop options in the future to fix BCS's dislikes. I think you'd be hard pressed to find much evidence of "trolling" beyond the dislike for the scoops from BCS. Just my $.02. |

I LOVED the one I test rode. Were it not 40* and me riding around in a sweatshirt and jeans, I would never have brought it back. Oh, and it's hella fast. |

At first I didn't really care for the pods on the 1125 either. After 14k+ miles on Loretta, Firebolts look weird to me now. I think they look odd without the pods. The pods really keep the wind off your legs when it's cold out. When I lowsided Loretta last month, the right side pod did its job and protected the bike. I have a new one, but while I was waiting for it, I sanded out the gouges and the pod looks pretty good. New one's still in the box. The pods are like a wart...unsightly at first, but it grows on you. Zack |

That R1 in the video sounds waaaaaaay cool I've always liked the idea of a "cross-plane" crank since I read about Helmut Fath's U.R.S. But I like the styling of the CR than the R1... |

The new R1 sounds great, but looks are off. I like the 1125R better. Truth be told I think the CBR1000RR is the best looking liter bike in the market today and the new R1 will not change my mind. I saw a CR up close for the first time about a month ago. I was disappointed they did not put a different tail section on it, but I get the Sinister look. The CR is the meanest looking bike out there. When it comes time to make my next new bike purchase it and the 1125R will be on the list to consider. |

"Buellinachopshop, the CR looks a whole lot better than your freakin' V-rod, ya troll." The women say otherwise. Faster yes, but sexier than a VR, noooo. While you're trading in your Cr for $3800.00 in three years, my VR will still be worth double that. (Message edited by buellinachinashop on December 14, 2008) |

While you're trading in your Cr for $3800.00 in three years, my VR will still be worth double that. Going alittle far there John. I could just bought your identical bike for 11,500.00 this past Sept. Its not like its doing all that well in the resale department considering its original sale price. Not to mention it did bad enough that HD discontinued it. I'm not bagging on your bike... I like them but them is the facts. |

Yup and a brand new Cr sells for about that same amount....so which is gonna sell for less in three more years? Not mine. Fact are facts, sport bikes depreciate faster than cruisers. Harley also discontinued the Night Rod, think that's gonna sell for less than 10 in three years? (Message edited by buellinachinashop on December 14, 2008) |

John, No your bike started out as a 16,000 dollar bike. Your bike will be about a 8500 dollar bike infact look on Ebay. Seen them as low as 9 used. As far as them depreciate faster then Sportbikes??? Dude you better look at the market right now.... take your pick. As far as the Night Rod... I can't speak for everyone but I can purchase one about 14 tomorrow. They are diving and diving quick. |

For instance John take this add. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycles___2006- HARLEY-DAVIDSON-VRSCR-STREET-ROD-VROD_W0QQitemZ370 120606327QQddnZMotorcyclesQQddiZ2283QQcmdZViewItem QQptZUS_motorcycles?hash=item370120606327&_trksid= p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A727%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A 1%7C240%3A1308 Its 2006 you can buy it for 10. Its lost 6 grand plus already in two years. The list goes on,on Ebay. Fact the matter is you pay more for a V-Rod then a Buell but infact lose just as much if not more of a hit. My bike is a 04. Doesn't matter what I did to it. Its worth 1/2 of what I payed for it over 6 years ago. Until this economy dropped out from under us. A 04 XB12S still pulled 5 plus. |

Quoting Harley resale values has been the standard fall back after losing the performance portion of the discussion. Of course with the saturation of Harleys in the market today, not all have gotten the 411 the Harleys depreciate at about the same rate as other bikes. From Kelly Blue Book 2008 V-Rod VRSCAW MSRP = $16,695 Trade in = $10,600 After one year worth 63.5% of MSRP 2008 1125R MSRP = $11,995 Trade in = $7,420 After one year worth 61.9% of MSRP An attempt to relate this post back to the original topic. 2008 YZF-R1 MSRP = $11,699 Trade in $6,580 After one year worth 56.2% of MSRP Just the facts! |

Thanks Carlos. As far the R1 is concerned. For the money, performace and looks. Other then the red/white of coarse. It would be the bike I'd buy today. Still keep Last Laugh though of coarse. |

Dana, If in three years you can buy a Cr for 8000.00, I will eat cow dung. Ain't gonna happen. How many Buells out there started at 10 grand 4 years ago are selling for 4 now. That's a 60% depreciation in 4 years. A 2004 Vrod is still selling for 10 grand and they sold for 14 new. IF you go by EBay. M2 just proved this by showing us what KBB value is. The Vrod held its value more than the Buell and a Yami. |
