Any of you planning on buying the parts and converting to a chain drive?

Nice looking parts, cost unknown.

I was thinking about it until I heard the Buell parts were $2100.00

The costs for the XB conversion were on the order of $1700 for the swingarm - you still had to buy the countershaft sprocket and rear sprocket and chain - so that $2100 is about in the ballpark I'd bet.

It was fun working the booth this weekend and it WAS nice seeing all the 1125R racing hardware actually MOUNTED on the bike - fairing, swingarm/chain, rearsets, quick change hardware... niiiiice!

Hope you got better pics than I did on the quick disconnect brakes!

Talked to Henry last week. He said he had 50 of them sitting on the floor next to him. I'd like to get one now but it doesn't fit the plan till after xmas.

The two reasons I want that chain drive swingarm:
this weekend I had to get new tires at the track and it took me much longer to get my wheels to the tire shed than anyone else, so I was last in line and missed a lot of track time;

everyone is geared lower for our tight, technical track, sure it's okay to be high geared when you have torque, but I could still use more pull out of the corners, especially if I'm going to race against the liter bikes.

Steve, what booth are you talking about? Got any pics? I heard about the new fairing. Too bad I just bought all new glass.

The Buell fairing is all carbon - high quality, no-compromise pressure cured stuff. I guarantee that it will be at least TWICE what you paid for Flexiglass or Airtech.

I feel like a dummass for NOT taking pics of the stuff there on the bike.

I'll send a couple emails out to friends who were there with cameras... see if they can post anything.

I know there have to be a TON of pics.

That 1125R on the elevated stand with the graphite bodywork, swingarm, chaindrive, rearsets, reverse pattern, quick change rear, quick change front - all that stuff is now available.

EWeaver was there at the show with his camera... maybe we'll see some pics posted. He must have taken a couple hundred pics - a LOT of detail.

wow, i would have thought you would have been able to do that faster than the chain guys. i know a wheel change on my xb's with a belt literaly can be off and back on in less than a few minutes on the side of the road, and the set up is still basically the same on the 1125's

On the XB when changing the rear tire do you have to remove the brake caliper? Please tell me what tool you use to remove those two bolts so I can get faster?

What really matters is my sponsor helped me remove and replace the rear wheel. She now agrees that we really do need a chain drive swing arm. Would you argue with that?

I don't know how the quick release brakes are done, but...
Unless you need chain for track-gear-ratio-change might it work to drill thru the swing-arm and put inserts or threads in the caliper?
Two quick unscrews from the OUTSIDE then.

Zack I can't believe you said that! I'm going to take advantage of the situation, especially considering I will be able to tune my gears for any given track. For the street I can see staying with the belt. But my bike stays on the track.
