I've not been on in a while, I've been too busy with flight school. What Race parts are available for the bike now? Are there heads, cams, and ECM etc? Just curious, i've never been able to leave anything stock. I'd try to modify my dog if someone made parts! Haha!! |

ECM yes. Buell offers it, but you must have a race license. Haven't heard of anyone doing heads or cams...We're still working on exhaust! New tuner software is coming available. Talk to Xb9 on here for more info... |

we are working on a new engine setup this winter, heads, cams, pistons. We are trying to build a reliable 180 RWHP race engine for next season. Be patience. |

Patience??? You don't buy fast vehicles because you exercise patience! Anyways, thanks for the information... I would love more input if anyone has any. Oh... What does the race ECM allow you over the stock ECM? Does it allow more control over engine parameters and functions? Does it come loaded with Buell's race tune? I would lover more info! |

January can't come fast enough! I want more now. Especially if Buell killed some of the power with this re-flash crap! |

Keep this string alive... I would love updates on what will be available for the 1125R! I would really like to get some real power gains out of it! |

Yup, many do...and many are working on just that while you bump the thread. You can rest sure that when any of it is ready, you'll see it on this website! The real question is, are you going to actually buy it when folks that are credable...Easyrider for one...along with MANY others that are going with or without name for now. Zero gravity is one that has had protos for a long while and still not much interest apparently? I wonder why K&N is not all over us? hmmm... There is always those that talk or post but what ever happened with those racers that wanted to tune for cheap? Just one example that proves this post's point. You ask for something, even beg for it and than sit on it! LMAO! Very strange crowd indeed...how many, by the way, got a D&D for starters? Oh, yea, ain't what your after...already forgotten Saron but perhaps the Drummer is the new bet?!!!! I know, you already gave them your cc # and are in line? Again, be ready to step up or shut up. This is quickly becoming old to read after nearly a years passing. |

I thought that may be the case. The real reason I asked is that my neighbor swears to me his 600RR will break 180...Stock! I don't talk to him much. Can't stand the idiocy that constantly comes out of his mouth. |

Idiocy? I've often questioned such wonder, of another, myself in the past... But in reality, you just never know who can hand you great and new answers! p.s...I would counter his mouth by asking what mph tailwind was behind that 180 pass! LOL!...you never know, might strike up good conversation that leads to new insite?! Stranger things have happened? (Message edited by slypiranna on December 11, 2008) |

Actually on most jap bikes (99.9%) their speedos are off and progressively off as speed increased... EX: my buddy has a BRAND NEW gsxr 600 and when im doin ~ 85mph, and we're side by side, he's doin 96mph...hows that for accuracy, btw same for his 2001 r6... Also the 1125 has one of if not THE MOST ACCURATE speedo of any bike made, within .1 or .2 mph of a gps and/or radar... Jake |

Jake you took the words right out of my mouth as far as the speedo accuracy. Thanks BMC. It's nice to know when you look down you REALLY are going that fast! The 8% error you cite is consistent with what I have seen with my IL4 riding buddies. If you apply this to the 183 figure, it is "true" speed of 169 MPH. I doubt any close to stock 600cc will even go this fast. SHoot, the AMA testing at Daytona is seeing low 170s and those are the fast of the fast 600s. Maybe some gearing changes on the bike in question added to the margin of error in the speedo reading? |

I saw 183 on my 06 Gixxer speedo... It was a 600... It was straight, flat and I tucked in behind someone to help with the wind resistance. Drafting helped a ton, but it took a while to get there. I know that the speedo was off by about 10 mph. Anyways, this thread is all about mods! We need 'em soon! |

Man all these people that like to go fast... But no on wants to talk about "real" mods... All the other threads are about exhaust and mirrors, throw a few seats in there... We need cams, pistons, and heads! |

Now that is some funny stuff--do you know how much HP is needed to go 183?? Especially considering the bodywork is not really designed to be aero. Not going to happen in any 600 I know of. Unless it happens to have a big turbo--- |

Mustangturbo, are you a licensed racer, or are you looking for a street build? |

Mustangturbo +1, Don't worry, we are the crazy people who will show you the complete story. We start with another company to build a race engine. Stage I will be 180 HP SAE corrected. And we need heads, pistons and cams to achieve this. We also will race this bike next season for a complete season and then go on for stage II next winter. |

I am not a licensed racer, but I am looking for something that I can use on the track as well as the street! I want to start with the engine and then move to any handling mods that are available. |

Um....you have that backwards. Start with your skills, move on to suspension, THEN when you've maxed your potential, look for HP [and start the whole process all over again...] |

Man, everyone and their opinions... I want to start with the engine first because the bike handles so well. I am also pretty adept at laying her over... The first thing that I did when I got it was wear the tire to the edge so that I didn't have that rookie stripe. Thanks for the input though. |

No matter what I buy, if I know it can produce more without a rebuild then I want it, even if I don't use it or need it. So mod ahead and post what works. |

Mustangturbo, I asked about the license because it gives access to Buell factory race parts. Stuff is available to do it without. Did you get my PM? |

Turbo must be an Apache/ KW pilot WOJ in training. Hair on fire and ready to go hover all day long. It's like taking your Buell to the race track and sitting in the pits all day. PS Former Blackhawk guy. We have to get our gabs in where we can. |
