Hey there fellow CBR'rs(ararar), I'm heading to Salt Lake City, Utah this Saturday to start my new job as a truck driver for C.R. England. The recruiter told me I may be back home in about 2 weeks or it may be as long as 45 days! Well, I doubt I'm going to have many snowless and gravel free days for that long so I might as well keep truckin'. I'm not sure what kind of internet access I will have but I'm taking my trusty macbook with me. I'm looking forward to finding out when the next Buell track day will be that I can make and that will be what I dream about when NOT behind the wheel. 10-4 good buddies. |

Jody, I am betting that you will have Internet access just about anywhere you go. Be safe out there... |

Congrats Jody - Safe travels. When I rode to homecoming last July, many of the rest areas had Wi-Fi hotspots. Start a new thread? - Where in the who is J2blue? Sorry, only rhyme I can make this early. Z |

Thanks for the assurance guys. Hmmm, I like your idea Zac. I'll post a pic from the roadside periodically and let everyone guess where I'm at. |

Hey Folks, the trip to Utah ended up being a bust. The company that I was going to work for turned out to be liars and cheats, and that is the kindest way I can put it. Long story short, the recruiter failed to mention how much money I would need to pay their company to work for them. I let them take $50.00 for an unnecessary "administrative fee" but when they sent in a loan shark to finance the $500.00 "refresher course fee" I balked. After speaking to my recruiter he lied to me and said of course he told me about all of that and otherwise treated me like I was trash. That was enough. I got out of there. I left Salt Lake yesterday around noon and got into Canon City last night around 11PM. Set back? Yes. I'll keep trying to find a decent company that will take me on. Jody, hang in there... I have had a little experience in the trucking area. My Sisters boyfriend worked for SWIFT (Sure Wish I had a Faster Truck) and he liked them. He eventually bought his own truck but still hauled for them. There is always IT (gasp)... Frank |

Hey Frank, thanks for encouragement. You are right about(gasp) IT. I may have to do that anyway. Thanks for the dinner invite and I'm not afraid of Lynn's cooking at all, she has never disappointed me before. I would like to take you up on the offer. I'll haul my bike over just so we can fire the engines up in unison and dream of better riding weather. |

Merry Christmas to all you Colorado Buellers and a very happy New Year. Look forward to riding with you come springtime. Actually, the goal is to get out at least once every month, so January, heat up. |

Yea, we were out about 2 weeks ago too and am getting ansy to get out again. Dan was out in the garage this morning from about 0430 till 0600 working on the bikes. He put on different mirrors with blinker lights in them and he was having problems with other stuff shorting out. It's fixed now, thank goodness. He's been stressing over this for 2 weeks. |

I know what you guys mean...I couldn't take it anymore (riding withdraw) and decided to ride to work yesterday. A 35 minute ride at 7 degree (+/-)...that will wake you up! The ride home was a balmy 24 degrees. I couln't help myself...I just had to test out the new ZTL2 front brake setup that I had installed over the weekend. Merry Christmas everyone!!! |

Steve, So how do you like the new front brake. Did you have to change the disk too? JC |

It is the same rotor for both systems, but I did change it out because my original rotor had been causing some pulsating in the front brake system. I haven't tested the new system too hard yet, but it was soft on my first test ride on Sunday...then after a little more brake bleeding the test ride to work on Monday went a lot better. Obviously not having the pulsating is a huge difference, but aside from that my first impression was that it was smoother than I remember my original system was when it was new. I was able to lock the front wheel for a split second yesterday while testing in my neighborhood...so I will wait till the roads are cleaner before testing it too hard. I'll post some pictures over the next few days. |

Hey John, I just posted a write up and some pictures in the Uly section. You can check it out here: ZTL2 WRITE UP You only need three parts...the caliper, master cylinder, and a new brake line sized for your bike model...which retails for about $485 total. But I caught a 30% off sale last month...so I couldn't resist! |

Christmas at the Skinner Compound: Lynn cooked the goose - I mean turkey - perfectly. It was delicious, she really is a great cook!
Frank went all Dahmer on the poor bird:
And of course we had to visit the ponies out in the stable:
I really enjoyed hanging out with them and I hope I added a little holiday cheer for them, too. |

It was great having another Buller over for Christmas. Lynn and I enjoyed your company... It took me about 2 hours of replacing the clutch gasket and fiddling with the seat lock but I got the 1995 White S2 (Number 35) on the road today. There is still a lot of sand around and if I was dressed properly I would have gone a little further but I just wanted to do a shack down run around the hood... Frank |

I'm intrigued by the thought. Do you have any route suggestions? We'll have to stay out of the hills because of a lot of ice still hanging around - and gravel. |

I'm trying to talk Dan into going for a little ride but he wants to change his engine temp sensor tomorrow. So...I may just take my bike out for a short ride around town. |

I am thinking about a 1-2 hour ride in the late morning...and my wife mentioned that she might go with me. I'm not sure where I will go, but since I'm starting in Westminster...I probably won't make it too far south. Looks like it should me a great day! |
