I did a google on your topic. I could not find what you are speaking of. Do tell. (EDIT = this post was a followup question to the original post that is no longer visible) (Message edited by buellborn on November 30, 2008) |

It was more so a question as to where to go from here in this economy. |

That does not make sense for a wholly owned subsidiary like BMC. The reward to the principals comes through a boost in the HD stock price and/or internal MBO based bonuses, stock options or other compensation mechanisms. |

in 1993 H-D bought 49% of Buell, a few years later H-D Bought another 49% with Erik keeping 2%. In 2007 Buell brought in $100.5 million in revenue and shipped 11,513 bikes (Message edited by Two_Buells on November 29, 2008) |

In deference to the marvel of consistency not a single thing on this thread is accurate. |

I thought HD owned 51% and BMC 49%. Is this true? When a person buys stock, is it HD you are buying or is there a way to purchase only Buell? |

WOW, then I was fed a good spoonful of fish $hit!...and swallowed it for this last year. Now things make sense as to what is going on. IMO, further efforts need to be made on the ownership level (INPUT) of Buell AND the ears of HD/Dealerships that sell (support?) what is, their product. Thank you Anonymous and Court for the education. To think it took this long, for me at least, to understand the truth... Good information IS important. That is why I rely on BadWeb! ps...I deleted my original post after the fact, was unsure of what information that my selling dealer gave me to begin with. Now we know better...and hopefully, further good will only come of me looking like a fool herein! (Message edited by slypiranna on November 30, 2008) |

IMHO the best XB lightning built to date... Marketing not withstanding. The 9sx is a *really* close second, and maybe its a draw if you take $$ into account. I want that bike with my 9's clear blue. And my HID. And my garmin wiring. And the Polly heaters. |

Wow mark up is pretty decent. Divide the 100 million by 11513 bikes and its only 8600 per machine. That doesn't include parts and accesories. But 11513 must be a record for sales. |
