Got the lights mocked-up this weekend. Duct tape aside what is the verdict? OK or hammered a$$ ? I'm thinking I may need to bring the turn signals in closer too.

Is it possible to have the fairing wrap down around them a bit? I know it would mean more work but I think it would make it look alot better. It looks to me but that would make it look like it was "meant to be that way. |

Hey that looks good. Can you send a close up pic of how they are going to be attached, I would be really interested in doing the same kinda of thing on my bike because american sport bike stopped selling the dual projector set up for the x1's. And im bummed i was saving for them and i looked and they were gone, I called and they sold the last pair DAMMMMM! |

Can you send a close up pic of how they are going to be attached, Stock brackets so far. The turn signals required moving up/back a little. Don't buy any lights yet, I may have a set for sale soon. |

Preybird1- Lights are the 4" from aztec8dotcom. I used the stock Buell brackets but the spacer between the lights had to be removed. The turn signals have to be moved as well. No other parts needed. If you are not in a hurry these may be for sale if I can't get the windscreen perfect. |

Don't give up on the dual lights just yet, I plan on getting one of these for mine at some point - Not a terrible price, and it's a great looking wind screen: http://www.r-r-customizing.de/shop_b_eng/index.htm l?target=p_4.html&lang=en-us |

G, throw some black paint on the screen next before you get too depressed. I have found the lighting leaves a lot to be desired on my X1, your set gives me hope. BTW,what happened to the yellow bike? |

Jstfrfun - This is the yellow bike. I have fitted my test set of flat black spray painted plastics; I wanted to make sure I like the look and get the fly screen design right. I have a OEM set of plastics on order to have professionally painted flat black. My yellow set is in storage, they were too perfect to repaint... barely a blemish anywhere. |

If you remove the front turn signals, you will find that the stalks have a section you can take out. It is around 2" each side. |

OK- this screen is not going to work. Anybody ever mount a fly screen from a xb9 on a tuber using stock X1 mounts? Anybody? |

dual headlight and windscreen from Speed of Color web site. http://www.speed-of-color.de/index.php?cat=SCHEINWERFER&product=BPSW-014 my loved X1
I also intalled this steel dash panel from Speed-of-Color. With this manufactured armature plate succeeds the original round instruments over approx. to set 40mm-50mm more deeply

Buellisticx1 - Great looking bike. Those colors look like Porsches' Gulf Racing colors. I wish I new about that company before I started my dual light conversion. Chasepeed- Looks great, I may end-up screen-less. Here is my 3rd version. I think a little final shaping and paint and I may stay with this for a while before I decide.

IF you have the means, lower your gauges, and make the screen smaller... It will look A LOT better.... Chase |

I'd lose the stock signals and replace 'em with those little black and clear LED kits -- I put some on my KZ900 and although you can hardly see them on the bike they are really bright when you use 'em -- |

I've never liked dual lights on a tuber, even after experiencing a bulb burning out at night on a country road. |

"I've never liked dual lights on a tuber..." I am with you on this... The dual-lamp set up definitely provides better lighting all around but somehow did not look "right" on the bike. |

After thinking about it.. I'm curious what a single headlamp setup would look like on an XB. |

Just so I can go back and laugh at this years later. here is the final version of this wind screen. Maybe an XB screen later, depending how this looks after final fit and paint.

Yes very pleasant. I ran white turn signals for 2 yrs. what the hell what are you using 55 or 60 watts i dont care i like the fact you are using both lights i almost bought another bike but it had one on and one off i do not like that!! So i went away from that style totally. |
