Has anyone else tried this keyless cap from Grand Stand Designs? I don't need a keyed fuel cap. This is great. No more figiting with the key feeling like it's going to break off trying to put fuel in. I really like products that make my life easier! Can you see any reason not to use it?

YES!

My only regret was waiting so long

The Grandstand fuel cap is a no-brainer to install. You just remove one of the mounting bolts from the original and install the provided pin. DONE - about 5 minutes (well, for me it was an hour because I couldn't find my $^&*% torx driver AGAIN!)

I have to assume that the 1125R uses the same fuel cap as the XB (which is what I race)

I also eliminated my keyed ignition too.

I used to be PARANOID about forgetting the key and I must have wired about a half dozen spare keys onto my truck, toolbox and to the bike itself!!

Yep, Installed in on mine and I never forget my keys anymore in the fuelcap.

Easy too just what slaughter is explaining. Good investment. If you are a racer and in a hurry, it's a must have

Eh, can't say that I would go with that myself. I like the locking gas cap. Guess if you're going to go with the track than it's not a bad idea.

For street usage, locks are a pretty good idea to stop the casual thief but - when gas was almost $5 a gallon for 91 octane, people were getting their locked gas tanks punched and drained.

It was kind of like locking a convertible car.

+1, Excellent mod and on the "list"...only thing left is minimal weight! ; )

I'll be buying this one and mill her further...after all, there is no reason to reinvent what is on the market now...these guys deserve their efforts in $'s and support.

Great mod!

We don't need no stinkin' keys! LOL!

If someone IS going to steal gas, the bike or whatever else you've got...they WILL, no matter the safegaurds.

That is what we pay insurance for?!

Last thought... I'd rather some would be thief siphon my fuel then cost me more than a tankful?

BTW I already have one. Came with my glass work last week. I wanted to know what you guys think of it.

Steve, I need to think about that keyless ignition too. It's always a hassle to constantly think about where that damn key is when back home in the garage. Everybody leaves their race bikes out all night at the track any way. So what's the point of having a key?

As long as that's all they do and they don't contaminate the fuel with ... whatever.(rare case probably, but possible).
