Does anyone make rearsets for the 1125? | ||

Just talked to Jan at Woodcraft about rearsets for the 1125. They do make them for the XB12. She said they need to know that there would be enough interest before they could commit to producing them. If you are interested please let them know. I'd like to have theirs when they do make them. Woodcraft is real popular here in southern New Mexico. | ||

We will have 1125R rearsets available in the next couple of weeks from Free Spirits. These have been tested all year on the FS 1125R racer in Italy, and will be available in either black or silver anodised finish. Adjustment is by moving the eccentric footpeg mount, so gives a wide range of movement. They will include brake & gear levers and all fittings shown. Price will be announced next week    | ||

Matt, I just noticed that the peg location seems to be the same as stock. I thought that rearsets are supposed to move peg location up for more cornering clearance? Am I wrong? | ||

The stock pegs are already quite far back. These move them slightly and allow for more footpeg adjustment, so can be moved slightly higher yet if required. if theymoved much further back they would probably interfere with the swingarm I forgot to mention, these will also be available in either road shift pattern or race (reverse) pattern | ||

Matt, looks like you misunderstood me. I'm not interested in moving the pegs back, I want up for more cornering clearance. Not sure what the limits are but if they are adjustable I'll probably find them. I like the race pattern shifter too. Please do let us know when they're available. | ||

trojan- what do racers do with a chain swingarm? do the pulleys just swap. or is the bracket different? also can these rearsets go on a cr? | ||

These rearsets will fit both the R and CR versions of the 1125. At present Free Spirits are still racing with a belt on their 1125R racer, but I would think that a chain conversion is either imminent or already in the works. If they do a chain kit it will be 90% certain that it will utilise the same tensioner mounts. | ||

wow that was a fast reply! thanks. do u have the measurement of how much theyve been moved compared to stock. i remember u saying they are close to stock in the picture, but what if at full adjustment | ||

Adjustment is by loosening the eccentric mounted footpegs that you can see in the photo and rotating the mount, which gives around 2" front to rear/up & down adjustability. The most forward/lowest position will be the closest to stock. We used a similar adjustment system on our XB1200 racer rearsets and they certainly gave enough to suit various riders. | ||

Considering that the GP shift kit is $400+ from Buell, this might seem like a good purchase for those dying to have the race shift, but not so anxious to shell out for the overpriced kit. | ||

the one in the picture is a reverse pattern. you can tell because the shifter is flip backwars. in order to get regular shift u have to keep the shifting like stock | ||

the one in the picture is a reverse pattern I am not so sure, now that i am looking closely. Don't you need linkage to flip the shift pattern? Looks to me like the shifter is attached directly to the shaft like the stocker. I don't know. | ||

ahh shot ur right. ive had harleys my whole life, so in my head i saw the 1125r the same. i should have known better. now seeing it and remembering that those are almost in the same position as stock, it would seem that is stock shift pattern. good call fresno. |
