Hi, I'm looking for an 1125R and was considering a used one, but wanted to get some more info before I made my decision. I just can't afford the $12,500.00 for a new one and thought a used one might get me on one. I currently ride a Suzuki GXR Movie Star and want to make a change. Is there any drawbacks to a used one? I know about the recalls and have spoken to guys that have had it done and all are happy with the corrections. Any issues I should look for or be concerned about? Any thoughts or input on where I might find one. I live in PA, but would travel a few hundred miles to get one. |

I hear that they are a pretty friendly staff at Western-Reserve and that WR wishes Jim would stay in his office more instead of trying to put fairings, bags and handlebars on his personal 1125R. (Message edited by teach on November 25, 2008) |

I know that Iron Valley HD Buell had 4 08's left. I'm sure they would give you a good deal. If not, I was looking to go to an 09 so mine will be for sale. |

Probably self-serving, but try a dealer who is a sponsor of BW. |

Velocity, No need to be sorry, I myself, am torn between what is best for the enthusiast, and what is best for where I work. It is often a difficult fence to be on and offers some conflict at times.

I purchased mine for $9405 at Stone Mountain HD, Georgia. Buell is offering cheap financing and you'll be able to pick one up for 10k or less. But you REALLY should get the 2009. It's better fuel efficiency gives you an extra 25 mile range. It also has some other nice tweaks. |

But you REALLY should get the 2009. It's better fuel efficiency gives you an extra 25 mile range. Really, that would equate to 5 MPG difference from the 2008 to 2009. With the re-flash, if the two years are not identical, they are damn close and for sure there isn't a 5 MPG difference in fuel mileage. What are the other tweaks you speak of? Relocated O2 sensors? "Targeted" fuel injectors? Gear indicator? <-----Okay that is a nice tweak for sure. You guys that are on the fence about the discounted 2008s are nuts for not grabbing one. A 15% to 20% discount is amazing for a bike like this... |

No matter which you purchase...as long as you get off the fence and ON something REAL AND IN FRONT OF YOU TO POST ABOUT...I'll applaud you! Fence riders don't move many miles...this 11...either year or model, DOES! |

The 2009 model does get about 5mpg better. What do you think the purpose of targeted injectors is. Gear indicator, O2 sensors, black fame, swingarm spool. |

Mine jumped 5 mpg with the last download and runs much better. Buell really needs to get the word out that the 08 model is just as good as the 09. I was only looking to go to an 09 because of the new colors and swingarm spools (my swingarm got scratched from my universal lift). |

Seems I've only gained 1-2 mpg since the reflash. Since new she's been rock steady at 37, now it bobbles at 38-39-38. Snow and ice last 2 days, no riding. 26 and clear now, ride today. I'll reset the counter and see what mpg I get today... Z |

I did about 200 miles on Saturday, mostly highway but also got stuck idling for a accident for about 25 minutes, and my display read 40 mpg for the ride. Before the download the best I did was 33-34. |
