Torqd, Court is right, TeamElves supports only part of the Aaron and Susan Wilson Racing effort. ASWracing, i believe with a website whose address I've misplaced. The blast was an Aaron and Nallin racing effort although a fair number of elves helped along the way. Paul Has TeamElves started a history, as this sage grows errors are already cropping up. |

Court wasn't counting the Blast record. He was referring to the 3 records held by the RR1000 and the new record held by the RR1650S2. They are two different bikes, literally only the bodywork and the nitrous system were shared. |

Anyone know; What's the current exchange rate US$/British pounds? What would it cost to ship a bike from London? |

USD1 = BP0.64 Depends which side of the States you are shipping to. I think if you can pick it up in New York it is the cheapest, as freight gets transferred there to other destinations. A few years ago I shipped my BMW from Sydney to London. It cost about AUD500. Around USD250-300 |

If anyone wants to peruse roadracingworld.com, you can see what a rather upset Erik has to say about the AMA's decision to have a BMW show before the 200 this year... |

Yowza... I read the RoadRacingWorld.com thing with EB... I see light in that article. That light is the unmistakeable fire burning with Erik Buell. I hope everyone here reads that thing. I met EB once and thought he was passionate then but THIS... This is public stuff that could bite him in the ass and he has the honesty and fire to just come out and say it. Damn, makes me wanna go spend money on a Firebolt... -Saro |

Sacborg.com has undergone a redesign, we're adding a few new features too. The site just broke 2 million hits a month. WOW. Glad to see that the online motorcycle community (lurkers and posters) is as ative as ever. |

In reference to AMA Pro Racings decision, I am sure both HD and BMC are quite upset as they "Bet the Farm" on the Pro Thunder Series with the Firebolt and the XB derivative. Perhaps this will force the V-Rod (Type) engine into Buell production sooner than planned to comply with EPA regulations. The upside for us is the ability to go play head-to-head with the Big Dogs. Between Pascal Picotte's successes and the extremely positive comments from sport bike owners across the country in response to the illustration of a V-Rod powered Streetfighter published earlier this year...I can only view this alternative as having significant potential for increased market penetration and share. The only down side is the pressure it puts on corporate to react quickly before things are fully engineered and tested and that is when Murphy's Law takes effect. In as much as I don't care for how the decision was made as well as the short notice in relation to HD/BMC's bet...I am up for the change...are you? IMHO, Bill |

FOB...just keep to your crow...or blackbird...whatever, and find another place to spread your malcontent, aight? I'm sure there's a nice site where you and your 'bird can be happy...and you can bash Buell/Harley with other likeminded individuals.

Doubt it. It's just gonna push those competitors into WERA and FormulaUSA/CCS...and it's never been planned for anything resembling a V-Rod powerplant to go in a Buell...unless someone's heard otherwise. You wanna play with the big dogs...go buy one! I read Erik's comments on roadracingworld. Good on 'im! |

Rick_A... I read the article and many more. I am both proud of Eric and supportive of HD/BMC. It is just that unless there is some Star Wars technology lurking in the background, there just is no way air cooled V-twins will be allowed to be manufactured after some future date as they can't cost effectively comply with the EPA. Yeah. We will be able to keep our beloved machines and they will become collectors items. I sincerely wish that the EPA wasn't going after motorcycles, ATV's and Watercraft, but that is what you get with certain political elements. Do you really think that HD developed the V-Rod engine just to go racing? I think they did it to develop and conduct tests for the new generation street engines just like a lot of automobile companies have and still do. Add to this quotes from HD officers over the last few years concerning this engine and the future of the company (not necessarily together in the same article/quote) and you will begin to see a pattern. Granted there are no direct statements, but that is the way corporate America is. As far as playing with the Big Dogs, I have and still do. However, I believe you may have misinterpreted what I said. I was referring to a V-Rod powered Buell competing with the Big Dogs in the Big Leagues. Wouldn't you like to have a Buell that stands up to the 750's, the RC-51's and the Duc's? I sure would. Heck, that is world class racing. Lastly, none of us are on the inside with either HD or Buell. We are just one of the consumer groups they monitor for strategic planning considerations. I don't speak for them and I closed my post with "in my humble opinion." However, my opinion is based on a very successful career in strategic planning. Give me a wrench and I am up a creek. Provide me with industry information from a multitude of sources and I am in my element. On this we may differ, but we both want to see Buell be successful for the long haul. Enjoy the Florida Winter... Bill |

for the nth time....... The problem HD/Buell have with the EPA has NOTHING to do with the EMMISIONS tests and everything to do with the DRIVE BY NOISE TEST. |
