HOW MANY DOGS DOES IT TAKE TO CHANGE A LIGHT BULB? (WITH...DOGGIE ATTITUDES..).

Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we've got our whole lives ahead of us, and you're inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb?

Border Collie: It specifically takes only one Border Collie to change the light bulb. I will then strategically replace any wiring that's not up to regulation.

Dachshund: You know I can't reach that stupid lamp!

Rottweiler: Make me.

Lab: Oh, me, me!!!! Pleeeeeeze let me change the light globe! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Can I?

St. Bernard: Let the Border Collie do it. You can feed me while he's busy.

Jack Russell Terrier: I'll just pop it in while I'm bouncing off the walls and furniture.

Poodle: I'll just blow in the Border Collie's ear and he'll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.

Cocker Spaniel: Why change it? I can still pee on the carpet in the dark.

Doberman Pinscher: While it's dark, I'm going to sleep on the couch.

Irish Setter: Duh, huh?

Boxer: Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toys in the dark......

Mastiff: Mastiffs are NOT afraid of the dark.

Chihuahua: Yo quiero Taco bulb.

Irish Wolfhound: Can somebody else do it? I've got a hangover.....

Pointer: I see it, there it is, there it is, right there....

Greyhound: It isn't moving so who cares?

Australian Kelpie: First, I'll put all the light bulbs in a little circle....

Old English Sheep Dog: Light bulb? I'm sorry, but I don't see any light bulb.

Bloodhound: ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz

German Shepherd: I'll patrol the area and watch the cat while my master changes the light bulb.

Shiba: Shiba's do not change light bulbs. People change light bulbs. So the question is: How long will it be before I can expect my light??

(Yeah ok I have 2 Shibas.)

We new about the Race gas but Pete checked it first to be safe.

Although waving the oxy torch past the filler cap did seem a tad on the risky side.

But how can the cook argue with the Inginnear.

When I pick my bike up in Phoenix I'm planning to change all the fluids before the 2000 mile ride back to Seattle. I have heard Mobil 1 filters may be used. What's the part number? Where do you find them (auto parts stores?) Any others or should I just buy a HD one?

I was planning on using Mobil half synthetic oil. Any problems with that?

What about transmission oil? Any recomendations?

Stephen still prepping in Seattle

Stephen/Toastertan,

The Mobil-1 15W50 is a good deal at walmart. Half syn is fine too.

A good synthetic 75W90 tranny lube works great.

Sorry, I cannot help you with the filters. The Knowledge Vault's Lubrication topic has a list that someone recently posted. Pretty sure they listed the mobil-1 version.

What he is thinking... "Can we play? I wanna play! Hurry up so we can play! I got the ball; it's right there. Here, I'll pick it up and toss it in your lap for you. Times wasting, let's play. Okay, I'm ready. Toss it anywhere you like, I don't care. I'll bring it right back and we can do it again. I love that ball. If you'd just toss it for me. Pick it up and... Would ya please just THROW THE DAMN BALL!!!"

Bob,
Great doggie quotes!

Josh,
Roger says he would rather jot down the formula for cold fusion than change a light bulb.

Hello again boys.

Its funny I sit here and I read your comments defending buells like a pack of loyal dogs, yet then you post a picture of someones pride and joy and think its funny. That goldwing is everything you guys worship, its definately daring to be different. I bet in 10 years that bike will still be on the road yet most of your precious buells will be rotting in sheds and garages.

My husband bought my blackbird for me 3 years ago and i feel its the greatest bike made. I may not exactly know every detail and how to change the oil, but thats his job. I just enjoy riding her. Yes my bike is a her.

Have a pleasant day.

FOB,

apparently owning a Buell is funny to you.

"It was a brotherhood built around a machine that wasn't perfect, just like the people who rode them."

The above is credited to Bob Bitchin in the book Outlaw Biker written by Brock Yates. When it was written it was a comment about HDs. I think it actually applies to us Buellers also.

>>>"It was a brotherhood built around a machine that wasn't perfect, just like the people who rode them."

Not entirely unlike the Christian religion or life itself.

What worries me is the very existance of those who let time pass while they spend time seeking to find, chronicle, exacerbate and revel in the perceived misery of others rather than to find and celebrate their own happiness.

Living in New York City, I'm fortunate to have had the pinnacle of lessons in just how short our time stirring dust on the Mothership can be.

I choose to "follow the light" and at the risk of offending old timers by repeating B. C. Forbes' quote.....

Nice people always are

If you had a cold, I'd want you to stay away from me. It's not that I don't like you, it's that I don't want what you have.

Misery is contagious.

Please stay away from me and allow me to suffer in my happiness, friendship and enjoyment of the time I am alive.

Sharon,

I am really glad that you like your "Blackbird", and I'm quite certain that others on this board will express that same sentiment. Having said that what is YOUR purpose in being here other than to spread hate and discontent among a community of people that happen to love our bikes. That's why there are different brands so that everyone can have a choice. In my opinion a "Goldwing" is a heavy ugly boat misplaced on land, but that is just my opinion and I generally keep that mostly to myself as I have many friends that love theirs. So Sharon I am real glad you like your Blackbird, I love my Buell DEAL WITH IT.

(Always someone stirrng it up :( )

FOB, I usually try and let people be, but I'm curious myself why you would post on this site? With the name you chose, it doesn't appear to be for the same reasons as the rest of us. To meet and get to know fellow Buell Riders !

I own a Buell, but I would NEVER insinuate that anyone who own's another bike is a fool, especially each and everyone ! Seems some on this site may complain about Buells, but most all own one or have owned one and I personally don't consider ANY of them fools, nor myself !!

Sharon:

For the record, one of my best friends was instrumental in the development of BOTH the Blackbird (which was actually never dubbed the "Blackbird" in the Unites States due to some issues) and The Goldwing. In fact, the Honda R&D Engineering Team dubbed him "GL Joe" for the tens of thousands of miles he logged testing before the Goldwing's introduction.

Here's a picture that you might enjoy. It was taken shortly following the introduction of the CBR1100XX. Honda R&D, in Torrance, CA, did the chrome labeling on the tail section that read's "Court and Howie, gads, I love this Sport Ride". The writing above the CBR1100XX, of course, makes reference to the fact that I am an "innocent victim" of this sport.

How the annual "Court and Howie" Buell ride, led by Honda's R&D Engineer, came to be is one of my great stories in motorcycling.

Joe Boyd is in the black jacket with signature ear to ear grin. Perhaps one of the most gifted engineers, test riders and nicest people the industry has ever known. He and Dirk were killed about 2 years after this photo was taken while doing photography at Willow Springs. Joe, to those of you who own CBR929RR is commemorated with a note hidden inside your fairing on all Hondas imported to the United States. Joe Boyd changed the direction of Honda in America.

On this page you will see the words.....Team Elves world record holding Buell.

I'd like to encourage whoever does this webpage to correct this to read:
