It would seems a silly question but, will this fit on an '08 scg? Parts catalog says "Fits '06-later xb12ss models. Stock on '07 '08 xb12tt.". Anyone try it? |

It won't fit, the SS/STT have a different subframe. All the other lightning models use the same subframe, so you can use any lightning seat other than ones for the SS/STT. |

Thanks froggy. Too bad, kind of like the looks of it, not to mention how functional it may be. |

It sucks to be honest, stupid no passenger logo, and you cant move your ass back there, no cushion! |

Agreed on the no passenger logo, it's weak. It would seem to be a functional (not necessarily long-term comfortable) seat though. |

surprisingly enough, the solo seat is in fact comfortable enough for at least 8 hours of riding....with short breaks in between for food and fuel and stuff. |

I actually like the seat. The logo on the back is definitely lame, but the "front" portion of the seat is pretty well padded and comfortable on long rides. It's a bit narrower than other seats, so it's similar to dirt bike seats in that regard. |

Seems like the cityX seat would be a viable alternative for the Xb-s |

Yep every ass is different. Out of the SS stock seat (the 2 up kit seat), the Urban seat (STT stock seat), and touring seat, my pick is the touring seat. STT seat looks the best but I found uncomforable after 30 minutes. SS seat is good for a few hours, but looks lame. touring seat is good for 600 mile days no problem. Also easier to slide around on the touring seat. These are just my experiences. All 3 seats will be for sale soon if you want one! |

I've had all three Froggy mentions as well and have sold them all including the touring seat. Go with a Corbin if you can stomach the price. |

I had a corbin on my M2, and now the Buell Select seat on th XB. Ignoring the different position and focusing strictly on the seat itself, I like the gel seat MUCH more. The corbin is just too hard for me. I know it's supposed to be hard and all, but I can ride significantly longer, more comfortably on the softer gel seat. It could be that I'm lacking the necessary extra cushion in my rearidear?!? And keep in mind Froggy, you have an SS (well, it started life as an SS) your seats will not fit the original poster's Scg. |
