we would have to make sure all the info is correct if it was going to be made a poster. i dont have the issue with that in it right here, but i think there were a few errors on it if i remember correctly. |

Yep While I am not the authority on this, it would appear that the Initial model years for the T-Bolt and Lightning are incorrect. |

I'm not sure the pictured "96 S1" correctly represents that model year |

Thunderbolt was 1994. An argument could be made that it were marketed as 1995. There is, for example, no 1994 service or parts manual. S1 Lighting was 1996. |

Did the '96 S1 have the pictured airbox and non-isolator-plate frame? You know my issue with my "1995" S2T california....It was titled as a '95 rr1200, all numbers matching. |

The above air-box is correct. Not sure what you mean, assuming the side-plates , on the "non-isolator" plates. The yellow S1 on the cover of Cycle World has a pre=pro side-stand that was later changed. There were no 1995's sold in CA. It was a SNAFU with a piece of paper that failed to get filed for CARB. For 1996 the S2 was approved in CA with the Quicksilver carb. |

Thank you, Court. I remember the very interesting facts you shared re: ca. version snafus. The S2s had the isolator plates that connect the isolators to the frame, each plate held in place by 3 allens, similar to that of the RRs, only smaller (These effect fast, easy belt-change). I recall the Si Lightning had significant variation from the S2, wasn't sure re: isolators (Message edited by tramp on November 16, 2008) |
