Easyrider...get some sleep dude! I know, you can't... Whenever you decide to give the states a try, I'm sure we all over here can help you with the move and set up that dyno room! YOU are more than welcome over here! ...after all, most of here are imported! Talk your mates into moving too! FYI, the beer IS colder over here in the local pubs! I can't honestly speak for the woman tho! ...I find them on the warmer side! Back to your exhaust and testing with the stock ecu. Before F**king with it any further, are you going to get the latest flash so as to have an updated comparison for the stocker crowd? I think you got the most wanted job of all time "D"! My best wishes to your success! mm |

HE Sly,.. I Send asap 3 prototypes to the USA. I asked pete from www.grandstanddesigns.com to be our distributer for the USA. Also because he can do the anodizing and thermal coating, HE will send you a prototype for testing so be my friend and do it (-;. Maybe yoy can get in touch with him and send him your address. MMhh moving over is getting interested now.. Sly send me some interesting information I would like to try and I try to get the latest reflash done on the stock ECM to see what happens. Keep you all posted.. |

Easyrider, Sounds good, I'll give grand stands a call next week and let them know we are in. Perhaps we can divide up this testing a little? What about this; We have two 08 1125R's here in central Ohio...900' elevation, we test and then ship to XB9 who has an 09 1125R...then he sends to Zac in Denver Colorado for high elevation testing...then he forwards to my boy in Texas, at sea level, for testing? We then all report our findings here and then find another to lend your pipe to for further feedback? California, CR's, ect. This one pipe could be sent all over as long as no one comes up missing in the loop! LOL In good faith that you are willing to do this for us here in the USA...and as you know, we've been working on a pipe but nothing like yours... I will send you one of ours to evaluate and possibly do the same trades with your European mates!? I'm looking at mid January 09 to ship you a test. Think you'll be ready by then? This should prove the greatest sharing of information since the learning thread! |

Count me in if you need another bike to test it on. I'm planning on running on a dyno and doing some tuning this winter so that would be perfect! Let me know if you need me then I will schedule the tuning session. |

As long as all involved are registered to BadWeb...and don't drop the ball/pipe...what could go wrong?! hmmm... I know we'll have to have each other's addresses and phone's...but we could do this in pm? You also got to consider if you could put on up to 200 miles for the AFV's to adjust (OR PAY TO DYNO THE EQUIVALANT) and if you could swing the $'s and time for a pre/post dyno run...then get the pipe back in the mail for the next in line. No sand baggers...think speed in getting this done so as not to hold up everyone else. Who's in to share information and Easy's pipe? That came out wrong but I HOPE you know what I mean! LOL!...me too...but seriously... EASYRIDER needs to wake his A$$ up and get on BadWeb! We need his approval before really going forward with this idea. He's probably padlocked (from the outside!) in the dyno room over there thrashing that poor 11! God love him for his devotion. It's all good... |

Wow - if Twinmotorcycles is teaming with Grandstand Designs - it's all good! We ought to get one for Pinson racing for Antelope Valley here in the AMA next year. |

Sly, I am a little bit afraid this is going to take a long time... Once it's on your bike, you will love it.. and wont take it of... lol The same problem will be with XB9 and with Zac. We have to discuss this with Pete from GSD also, Maybe I send him some more for testing also. I Agree with the idea.. Sounds great. If Pete can give his blessing were on. |

Hey Dris, It seems that a bunch of guys here are dying to get their hands on your pipe. (INSERT JOKES HERE!) Let's see what we can do about having a community "test pipe." I think the logistics of such a thing becomes complicated when we try to standardize the data acquisition across the country. However, a "loaner" that can be passed around just for fun is definitely doable. Then everyone can post their opinions and impressions on this thread. How does that sound? Pete |

Yeah, we are in the process of getting our first snow of the season today. 34 degrees and a trace in the grass. We'll be back in the 60s tho in a day or two. MM, I'm very interested in playing with Dris' pipe for a week or so. Let me know if I get in the queue. Still trying to get Loretta into "Learn Mode". 3rd reflash at 12.4k - 100/100 New(09) IC at 13.2k - 100/100 Odo at 13.8 now, still at 100/100. She's running smooth, 20mph school zones are OK, still a little clutch chatter betw/ 2-2.5k 3rd and up. I'm beginning to wonder if this is where she'll stay since the reflash... Z |

nothing wrong with "100/100" it's most likely where it should be. If it runs good I would not worry. My '09 is 110.5/110.5 and runs great. She learned that after about 2-300 miles. The values everyone's AFV's were at before the latest calibration pointed to something very amiss (Example 95.5F/105R). Now all seems corrected with the current calibration. Maybe we need to start a new thread since the latest calibration and post up our numbers, so we can compare? I'll do that. BTW, my experience on this beast for learning is NOT steady state cruise - just the opposite. That may have worked in earlier years, but not on these. Teach, thanks! |

Xb9...if the weather is bad...when this comes about to happen... check with Teach into a dyno day event to reflect like mileage in order for an AFV update to occur. I'll be there with at least one 08 R as long as it is on a weekend. We'll test both years! Then get the pipe back in the box and off to the next... It'll be warm for hours after FedEx or UPS picks it up! LOL! Cheers! |

"You also got to consider if you could put on up to 200 miles for the AFV's to adjust" Where the heck did the idea that 200 miles are needed for the AFV to adjust get started. That's sounds crazy to me. Seems to me that the AFV would be darn near useless if it takes 200 miles to adjust. Divide by 100 and I think you'll be closer to reality. |

Oke, here we go again, picked up the bike really early this morning from the exhaust maker, to test the new inner work (the final prototype) after some new modification I am really happy now. Still I like to test some more little changes to see the effect on it. This one, we are going to make and send to the USA for testing (-; then I go on with testing and see how I can improve (if possible) Here are 2 runs (dont look at the tekst of the graph because I made the run in a wrong subfolder in the dyno) The BLUE line is the race ECM, the red one is my old original no reflash ecm. It runs actually very good on the stock ECM..

Blake, I'm glad you asked! Many of us have been questioning this for months now. We've tested this function on over ten different bikes around the country in various states of tune. Even after reflash/resets to 100F/100R, we've had to ride at LEAST 100 miles with most taking somewhere between 150-200 miles to respond. Each individual modification that affects pumping and fueling characteristics has also needed this "time" element in order to understand the final improvement. Yes, they do respond...but... This takes an enormous amount of time as you can imagine. I'd SO love for you to help us figure out or anony tell us what we are missing! Thanks Blake! |
