I counted four buells including my 12r on sunday. The shirt they gave out at the buell display was pretty sweet. I have to agree with Bart that white is growing on me. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for 2010 they bring out the blue body work. Of course I probably won't be able to afford one until 2012 but whatever I still love my 12r. |

Dude that video is too funny! Hey Bart, a couple guys at work are gonna do a ride Saturday up through Yarnell to Prescott. I'm prolly gonna have to break off from there and head back but they are gonna continue on to some other locales. You're welcome to come. Oh yeah and get that damn Oogly back so we can do the 10K service! One more thing.... 11-4-08, end of an error!!!!! GO Barack!! 'YES WE CAN' |

So I saw a black 1125R cruising down university near ASU, wondering if it was any of you; the bike sounded sweet! |

wow, being back by noon kinda cuts the day short! I just found out my Ugly is done, so i'm going to run over to Arrowhead and pick it up Sunday morning around 8AM. I'm now thinking of blowing off my earlier plans and going for a ride Sunday also... It would take a couple of hours to run up over Yarnell and back. Maybe we could do South Mountain, what do ya think? (Message edited by Bartimus on November 08, 2008) |

New Bueller!!! Howdy all. I Just got my first bike a 2000 S3T! I'm really excited to learn more and ride it. But, being an older bike it has a few quirks. I've ordered a service manual and I should get it this coming week. As I'm learning about my new bike I have a few questions. 1. I have a few minor problems I want to take care of. Any suggestions on service? (private vs. dealer). Who won't rip me off. 2. I'm having a hard time finding neutral. Do I need to do anything to my transmission? 3. Any other advice would be much appreciated. I know my decision to go with a Buell was one of the best I have made!! |

Ebola297, Welcome to the madness! Good to see another Tuber rider! As for your shifting problems, that is usually a sign that your primary chain is too tight, I would check your adjustment. I take my bikes to Arrowhead HD/Buell on the northwest side. They are a "typical" HD shop, but the service department hasn't let me down yet. Stay away from Chandler HD/Buell! Everyone I know that goes there, usually gets screwed badly! I don't know much about Hacienda, I havn't gone there since they screwed me back in 1996, LOL. You are going to Love your Buell, and soon you will be having to buy another to add to your collection like me. John, I'm picking up the oogly today, so I'll go thru the manual and see what supplies we will need to get to complete the 10,000 mile service. perhaps we can do this next weekend? Wayne, Do you wanna do South mountain Monday morning before your lunch appointment? |

Sorry Bart I've got to meet w/ my attorney before my other meeting. Contract BS. I would otherwise I'd be up for South Mountain. I hate to bail but this is a 11 on a 10 scale. This business stuff is getting in the way of my riding, but it should be over soon. I hope. Went to the Yamaha event out at Firebird yesterday, no big deal. Did see a Buell there, don't know who it was. |

Ebola go talk to Andrew at Arrowhead Harley Davidson. He rides a buell himself and they have always treated me well. Even did the headlight recall without me requesting it. |

Fellow AZ Buellers, As recommended by the many posts and archives I had an few days off and road the recommended roads of AZ. WOW is all I have to say!!!! I started with US191 from Clifton to Alpine. Some have said it is the twistiest road in North America. I have ridden the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyway, the Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala skyway to many times to keep track, Many of the roads surrounding the Suches, GA area ALL those roads combined are just about equal to the 80 some miles between Clifton and Alpine. I would have to recommend this road only to serious motorcycle riders that can really ride. Extremely technical and with natural road hazards along with the remoteness of the area are not for the inexperienced riders. I passed only 1 truck the entire ride up US191. I really can't express the ride in words well and the pictures I took just don't give the scenery justice.
BTW the wife was a real sport hanging on for 70 miles before she needed to stop or puke in her helmet.
We stayed the night in Springerville to get a early start for the ride sunday. we did AZ260 over to Showlow to head south on US 60. What a ride 60 is!!! We were having too much to take pictures and the wife needed 2 hands to hold on. At globe we took a right and headed up 188 to the dam. Then hung a left on I'll use the term loosely "HWY" 88. I turned on it telling the wife "We'll see how bad the road gets and will turn around if it is to much work two up". The first turn I meet a truck pulling a freaking pontoon boat!!!! and then the RV's!!! Oh yeah we're going to keep going if he can make it.
Notice the Photographers hand. Trusting wife!!! The Uly was awsome handling the unimproved road 2 up. It is normally flawless on paved roads 2 up and it is no different on this type road. It was good enough to let the photographer get a shot of herself.
Had a chance to get the Cactus picture with the ULY so I had to take it.
"hwy"88 does turn into the paved road after a climb out of the canyon.
We shot home down us60 and AZ177 due the the wind storm that was a killer heading south. I know this was just a sample of all the roads AZ has to offer. I will take AZ up on the offer and go see the rest soon. Thanks for posting your favorite rides here and letting newcomers to the state know where the Buells like to roam. |

rotorhead, glad you got a chance to enjoy the famed "191". It is certainly one of the states best roads. The Salt river canyon along US 60 on the way back to Globe is also another fav. One of these days, you'll have to stop by the big city and say Hi! |

thanks for the compliments on our service dept guys, we do our best but sometimes they're not the easiest bike to fix. in case you don't know there's a race down at firebird raceway this weekend, i'll be the only buell out there if you want to come down and support the brand. it'll be a good race to watch since its on the main track with lots of good grandstand seating. if you seat at the top of the infield stand you can see pretty much the whole track. andrew-AHD service dept. |

Hey Bart, Thats probably workable for me on Sunday. I get off work at about noon and I don't have to be back until 4:00 so I should be able to ride up with you. If you'll already be there then I'll meet you up there. Hey Andrew, Didn't know you rode a Buell! I was just in Arrowhead HD and you sold me the supplies to do the 10K service on my XB9S. I'll do my best to get out there and support bro! |

thats great that some of you are going to try and make it out this weekend. bring as many people as you can. the turnouts at the races has really been down over the last couple of months. i wish more buellers would do track days and possibly get into racing down here, in cali and out east the buell turnouts are way higher than in az. you all realize that buell pays money for the top 5 finishers in thunderbike and supertwins? if you can place in the top 5 in each of the races it pays for your weekend. supertwins usually only has four to five entrants, so its pretty much guaranteed money and most of the thunderbike field is not beyond a fast trackday rider. |

We are fixing to leave at 10:30 and head out to Chandler blvd, and I-10 to meet Kelly and Lisette. Not sure where we are going to meet, so Deb and I are just going to look for a Chili's or something because I want to eat before we go in. It's expensive to eat OR drink in the races, kind of being at the fair or a football game, everything is over priced. So we are eating before, and bringing our own bottled water. We will swing by the circle K and wait until 10:45 for you. You can call me at: 5059445963 See y'all there! Bart |

Any one have ideas for a Thanksgiving weekend ride? I blew mine, I couldn't wait and rode my idea in NM this weekend. I figure I can make it up to the "big city" to ride that weekend. |
