alrighty, thanks to some select few here on badweb, i have transformed my dirt bike style riding xb9s into a street demon from hell. not literally, but it feels that way! i got my clubmans at a local shop for under 30 dollars, coated black thnaks to a friend (DUUUFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF) he hit me up, and i went and bought them the next day. in the write up, i was told to get spacers, which i did, but with them installed under the bars, i didnt feel the aggrsiveness was agressive enough for me, so instead, i put the bars as low as they would go, and i love the feel, i rode about 100 miles today in the blistering windy coldness of Kansas city, just to test out the bars. they feel great. time to some pic last but not least, i plan on buying hardware that cleans up the mess, but i think for anyone, the risers help alot, i have major clearence issues with my bars hitting the airbox, but i dont really care. thanks for listening -BWESKY (Message edited by bwesky on November 12, 2008) |

here we go, i got new bolts that are 2 1/2 inches long, and they are perfect, and after a little adjusting, the bars are just right, the clearance now is slight, and not a big deal.

and, no they are not custom made, google "clubman handlebars" they are not that expensive, just please, save us all some heartache, dont buy the CR bars, because these are exactly the same, they just dont say buell... for HALF of the price the CR bars are from buell, i did this hole mod, with twice as much hardware as i need. ill post pics of me sitting on it once my stupid email will let me download the pic. Bruce, how did you route the clutch and brake cables? Did you have to mod anything? Did you use the same cables? Can you post pics? Thanks. Your bike looks mega-agresssive! Frederic |

nice job on the bars Bruce. the clubmans give the 9 a whole new feel, and a very low budget mod thats well worth it. |

now that im leaned over with weight off my back and on my wrists, it feel better than ever! if this is true, you may need to evaluate how low you have the bars. you really should not have all your weight on your wrists. |

Bruce, your Clubman set-up looks really good. I put some Clubmans on mine last summer. Like you, I like my bars as low as possible. It looks like my bars will hit the tops of my forks if I set mine up like yours. Did you have this problem too, or are my bars too narrow? |
