I like to build offroad buggies and then beat the pee out of them. Every winter I go through it for some type of major upgrade that I spent the summer dreaming up. This rig is currently just a tube chassis that I bent up with Geo Tracker skins on it. At one time this was my daily driver. I bought it with 22,000 miles on it and every year for the last 8 years it has gotten a major upgrade. 2 years ago I rolled it pretty bad and most of it was not salvageable so I revived it in a tube chassis form. I rolled it a couple times before but the last time I bent everything but the engine trans and tcase! LOL. The engine has over 240K and is still running strong.
The roll over that pushed the second generation.

Rpm4x4 - That looks like a serious hobby, and serious fun DD - Yep, it's a Pacer, still reasonably original too. Some pics from the engine rebuild earlier this year:

My other hobby would be firearms. It was Home Theater, and kinda still is, I want a bigger sub and side surrounds. |

With 2 street bikes, 1 race bike and a wife who rides horses, the bank account is pretty tapped. I do like to pound the skins every now and then though! I should clarify that to read skins = Drum Kit. I know how perverted some of you can be!! LOL |

RPM... Nice buggy!! We don't have any good "crawler" areas for wheelin' in Wiscoinsin. My current off road truck is a 97 Land Rover Disco. OME HD springs with Bilstein shocks. Almost complete under carraige armor and HD bumpers on both ends. This picture is w/o the safari rack on top.

I like shootin things! (targets and clays) I have a Winchester 1200 12 ga. shotgun, and an OLD remington 22 rifle. December I'm picking up a 22 or 9mm pistol for 'plinking'. I also love mountain biking, but I have to drive half an hour to get to the trails. Road biking is fun, and I can leave straight from my house. Alpine snowboarding (carving) in the winter. I have a BAD case of hobby ADD, Motorcycling is the only hobby I don't get bored with after a few months. I cycle between shooting, bicycling, and anything else that pops up, every couple months. It really drives me nuts, because I'll get super 'into' biking (or shooting, or whatever) and put a bunch of money into it, and then I'll wanna switch it up after a little while. |

"I have a BAD case of hobby ADD" Maybe Hobby ADD is a disease all of it's own? (Message edited by lemonchili_x1 on November 13, 2008) |

Other hobbies in the winter include skiing and snowmobiling. Another year round hobby is music: playing guitar with friends and sometimes recording in my basement man cave. My wife always gives me a hard time about the number of guitars and amps I have. I in turn ask here why she has so many pair of shoes. Her justification is that they are all look, feel and wear different and are for different occasions. Exactly! My wife got a Smart car a couple of weeks ago and now I'm messing with that. Looking at adding intake and exhaust and upgrading the sound system. Hobbies are expensive, please make it stop! ---Bob |

My other hobby would have to be fly fishing. One of the most expensive ways to pull a fish out of the water for 30 seconds. I spend a week or two in Southwestern Montana every year throwing hopper patterns to big wild Brown Trout. This cutthroat was caught 6 miles back in the Yellowstone National Park back country. Montana brown trout are colorful creatures. Even the "little" ones.

I don't consider riding a motorcycle as a hobby, more of a necessity like breathing. It is also my 1st choice in transportation. I guess the Dirt Bike could be hobby riding but it is still therapy to me. Mountain bikes, scuba, these are a couple of my hobbies. Always wanted a nice RC helicopter...but I know I'd crash it into powerlines trying to see how close I could buzz them, or something equally dumb. (Message edited by miamiuly on November 18, 2008) |
