"I say again. Come help me fix my bike." You should have bought my XB, the guy who bought it, October 4th, totalled it last week. "Uhm, John, this is Joe, I won't be needing that manual and extra key, I went offroding and totalled it..sorry" |

My fantasy is finding a snow ski fan in the Southern hemisphere who wants to house-swap 6 months out of the year. I'll retire the DAY I find this person! |

Motor Mounts, either a jug gasket or push rod seal. Can't ride it to figure it out. Oh, shock replacement, fluid changes, checking the gears and shifter forks to make sure they're good. Fork swap to an X1 forks...you know. (Message edited by brinnutz on November 12, 2008) |

I have about 10 too many projects for this winter. But my main project is sell enough parts out of this...
to get it out of my garage by April. Why am I doing that? Because back in June, it looked like this...
Which lead to me buying this...
But I also need to work on my S3T and get the S1W back into road ready condition. Maybe I need to start a meth lab in my basement to support my garage habit |

new12r sez: " I will be riding in the mountains all winter!" Thank you for that- the p*ssy factor on this thread was getting out of hand (P*SSY is NOT allowed on thsi board- um..I hoipe y'all realize it's a reference to pussycats, and not an anatomical expression all the time. Unreal.) |

It still gets cold in the winter down here, up in the mountains they regularly get some snow and freezing temps. I used to snowmobile, so why not ride?? I am getting some heated grips for my birthday so with my gerbing jacket, under armor, wool socks and nice riding boots I will be toasty warm carving the hills while everyone is crying about not being able or too cold to ride. |

I just got up from my.... I'm so bored winter time, after diner nap.... Now that MSF and Riders Edge Classes are over until next April and there is no races to be run.... I still ride, I just don't get to do those two activities. Those two things take up a HUGE amount of my time from April til Oct. So I ask... What the hell are you doing right now?... besides reading BADWEB... |

I ride no matter what the temp, but I stop with snow on the roads. What to do when that happens is a good question. I enjoy ATVing in the back yard, sliding is easy with some snow. Over 6" of snow it is time for indoor activities. Video games, movies, and gun ranges. |

Snowy-road riding, performed with care, smoothness and anticipation of potential slides, is an outstanding tool for improving one's riding. Teach yourself to conquer this fear by starting out slowly on your own driveway and local roads, taking care, always, to allow time enough for increased stopping distance and teach yourself to ease off the heavy throttle hand. Snowy-weather riding will improve your dry road riding immensely. |

FL gets a bad rap but I ride to work and for fun year round and also partake in my other hobby wakeboarding too. I WB virtually every Wed. afternoon though in the winter I start and try to finish on a floating dock. The 2003 pic was the afternoon before the Super Bowl. I had on cords and a Gator sweatshirt while watching TV. We decided to WB and not thinking I would fall I didn't change...of course I fell. Frank

Nice. Frank- If you were to run and slide sideways, on your feet, on a slippery floor (say, in socks) , which foot would automatically go forward? From the pics it almost appears you're a goofy who learned on a regular stance WB |

I am regular stance though do virtually all my tricks switch stance too. Board is symmetrical and boots are also set up symmetrically. |

Cool. But, have you slid (without thinking it out, first) sideways on a slippery floor in your socks? |

With the right conditions(like last winter) I ride to work, my snowmobile that is. I rode to work last winter more than I drove the Jeep. I put on more 3000 miles last winter. |
