Hey guys, I just recently purchased a used, new to me, 2005 Buell Blast, and have been looking for a group of other Buell riders in the Indy area. I just recently had a pretty bad experience up at Southside, so I decided to make the trip down to Bloomington, and they told me you guys had a board here on BadWeb. So, I just wanted to say Hello. Do you guys just ride, or are there any regular meetings? I noticed that the group is listed on the Buell Owners site, but the email doesn't appear to be correct. |

Any new plans for the weekend? I'm coming down Saturday. I haven't decided if I'm riding down, or trucking the bike down. (My wife's newly prego and I don't think she'd be up for that ride). I do have one problem, if I do in fact truck the bike down, I do not have a ramp to get it in and out of the truck. I don't really know if I want to go to TSC to buy a $120 ramp for the weekend. Any suggestions? |

Mid-America Motorcycle Speedway The last email that was sent out was not clear on the times of the next several events, so we thought it would be best if the information was resent in order to prevent any confusion. Gates will open Saturday, September 27th at 2:00pm. Signup will be open by 3:45 and practice will begin at 5:00. Heat races will begin at 7:00. On Sunday, September 28th, the gates will open at 10:00, and practice will begin at 12:30. We will start the heats right after practice. It is our hope that we are done by 5:00 so that everybody can get home at a decent hour. The times for Saturday, October 4th will be the same as Saturday, September 27th, and the times for Sunday October 5th will be the same as Sunday, September 28th. We will be running the Mid-America class structure on September 27th, 28th, and October 4th and 5th. October 11th will be the final Indiana Flattrack Association event of 2008. Gates will open at noon, with youth classes practicing at 2:00 and racing right after practice. Adult classes will practice at 5:00 and race at 7:00. All IFTA classes will be run. October 18th is the final Mid-America event of 2008. Gate will open at 2:00, signup will open by 3:45, practice will begin at 5:00, and racing will begin at 7:00. We have had many people ask about camping at the fairgrounds on the weekends of September 27th and October 4th. While the fair board does not permit camping in the grandstand area, they do have a designated camping area with electric, water, and sewer service available for $15 per night. The camping area is located at the southeast corner of the fairgrounds property. If you decide to camp at the fairgrounds, please remember that motorcycles or ATVĀ¢s are not permitted to be operated outside of the fenced in area at the track, and alcohol is not permitted on fairgrounds property. See you at the races! The staff of Mid-America Motorcycle Speedway |

Well, I need to figure out how to replace motor mounts, and either a jugg gasket or pushrod seal. |

I think I may trade my Blast for an XB9R or an XB9S(X). Not sure which... any thoughts? |

Well, you'd better stick with a Buell or you'll have to change your Sig Personally, I'd skip the XB9 and get an XB12Scg (assuming you like the seat hight of the Blast) My Wife had a Blast (no pun Intended) and she sold it and got an Scg because she's vertically challenged. I have an Ss and hers feels like a minibike to me....hehe. |

Well, that's one of my issues with the Blast, is that I am 6'2" 240. |

"Well, that's one of my issues with the Blast, is that I am 6'2" 240." Then I would suggest an XB12Ss long. It is really well suited for a taller, heavier rider. Just make sure you get someone to setup the suspension for your weight}. It will really make a huge difference in how the bike handles. |
