Still need to rebuild the bellypan, get a new steering dampner and check EVERYTHING over and over.... I've got all winter to get it ready to race.... but I want to race it NOW! |

MAY.. maybe.... I'll be looking for something before that. My main focus this coming season is going to be the 3 hour Iron Butt Race that Fasttrax puts on at Nelson Ledges. I would like to get to Daytona for the 8 hour but I don't have enough $$$ or knowledge... YET! I hope I can do a Inside Pass day at Barber or VIR. |

Of course, and as payback for washing it, the belt snapped on me when I took it out for a spin to dry it. |

Awesome bike Froggy, I really like what you have done with it. I tried to hang with you and Slowride, but the school bus effed us up. Broken belt? I saw the wrist action several times. You are pretty good at it too. I pack a spare belt and tools just in case. It happened once, but not again on the side of the road. |

How many miles on that belt? I went back to one for the winter and every time I hear this crap I wonder if I made the right decision. |

Hammer, 30k miles, but I don't have the lower belt guard so I don't know how much that affected it. My old sprocket has a ton of chips in the teeth from sucking in rocks when off roading. I have no interest in getting a chain, a year and a half of riding Buells, beating the crap out of them and offloading and other hooliganisms, first time I was ever let down by it. Ustorque, it won't be a mini uly for long, going full sized over the winter Quick teaser photo of the UlySSes
Twig, I remember that bus too, I was trying to remember if running over kids is bonus points. I bought a spare belt a few weeks ago, but it turned out to be the wrong one. I was planning on putting it on and holding onto the old belt as a spare, but guess that ain't happening. Brumbear, I had to take off the headlamp assembly to get to the nut without any issues, but that was no big deal because it was coming off when the HID kit went in. |

Hey Wolf, I thought you were gonna put an 1125r schnoz on that thing? |

I thought you were gonna put an 1125r schnoz on that thing I am putting it back together as cheap as I can. 7 bucks for a can of "Chrome Red" paint from Autozone when a long way in making it look cool. 20 bucks for a can of Duraglas to fix the bellypan. 40 bucks for a cheese grater from Jimducan69 was cheap until... I added a trip the Eye Doctor and the pharmacy to remove a big chunk of Alum. out of my right eye. Its almost "Race Ready" The last major thing I need to do is get the steering dampner fixed. |

Here are some shots of my baby. Got a couple winter projects going, chain conversion, new pipe, clip-on and some weight reduction. Should look a little different come springtime. Jason

After riding 140-150 miles in the rain to the Indy Moto GP, the morning of: Followed by a return trip in the rain for another 140-150 miles home. Plus the 50-60 around town, all raining. Sorry it's so big, didn't resize, and it's a camera phone pic. |

Froggy, I did not post a "how to" thread regarding making the fairing change XBR to 1125R. I think doing this project for my self is a lot easier then others. I say this because I have a different set of requirements due to my bike being a race only bike. For example all I needed were two adaptor plates to jump from the XBR fairing bracket to mount 1125R fairing. I did not have to be concerned about headlight clearance and wire routing since the bike does not need headlights. Therefore, I don’t think a full street functioning XBS to 1125R fairing conversion is going to be easy. Jason |
