The ohlins unit is on. I have probably a 100 miles on it. I ended up lighting up the feel a bit. I have noticed on power wheelies that the bars don't feel light. It just carries the wheel with no drama. The real test will be next spring when I can start doing track days again. I also installed rear spools from D_Adams. I am very glad I did the install. I can still use my current pitbull stand and be able to remove the rear wheel. I still use the Dark Horse Moto sliders to raise the bike if I don't plan on removing the rear wheel. I have a lot planned for this winter. I am going to be buying a tail light kit from XB lights and install my own block off plate. Then I need a new set of leathers and a rear Corsa III for next seasons track days. Plus a bunch of odds and ends. Man is it going to be a long long winter.   | ||

looks good. im in the same boat as u with the track goods. leathers etc... so much stuff. I have stuff for drag racing but my stuff doesnt transfer over to road racing. jacket and pants need to zip together stuff like that. plus the stuff for the performance of the bike. Ive always wondered with the axle sliders whats the need for the spools made into the sliders. u can use warmers, but u cant remove the wheel, so u have to have a hole nother way to jack the bike up. which u have done with d adams part. im goin to get the 1125r pitbull rear stand. oh ya thats another thing needed to be added to the $$$$$ pit. what we do for adrenaline. ur stuff looks good. have u been to the track yet with those tires. or do u drag knees on the street? im trying to get to the very outside tread but with out knee pucks i have a hard time gauging my lean angle. good job | ||

Jmr,Thanks for the comments. I was planning on buying the 1125r Pitbull stand but I already had a spool stand. So when D_Adams came out with the spools it saved me $100 to just buy the spools and use my current stand. I have been to the track with those tires. As a matter of fact they have 4 track days on them plus 2200 road miles. The front is in great shape and the rear still has some life in it. I will probably buy a new rear anyways because towards the end of the season I seemed to be picking up the pace. I can normally get to the very edge of the tire but my last track day was cold and damp so I didn't push real hard. Be prepared when you start doing track days. It is very addicting. I was only going to do one this year and ended up doing 5. It is a blast. I wish I could afford to turn my 1125r into a dedicated track bike. | ||

Cant believe you guys are talking about this. I was lookin @ The BullDog Lift for the 25R and decided to check for a thread & here it is... It has no bobbin or spinner support forks for picking up the bike but cradles the most rear point of the swingarm & lifts by using 2 rubber coated pegs. Looks like they did their home work!!! Anyone have or used one. I'm gona order one today, & need to get the best one for the appl. Also which one is the best for the front when working on the forks or changing a tire. Thoughts? Les  | ||

I use the standard Pit Bull stands, front and rear (but spread a little) and they work just fine. I already had both and really didn't want to buy another one. So, I made my own spools to fit the bike. I didn't like the one they came out with, it just didn't look as stable as a normal stand. I have more if you're interested. D_ Adams, Yea it looks like if you bumped it from the side it could tip over. I bet I could tack a piece of plate on the lower support plate inside and out with a rubber strip glued to it to add needed rigidity and prevent tipping. What do you use when removing the front tire or entire head? | ||

u can jack the bike up from underneath then use tie down straps hooked to the bike then to say joist above u. if u have stands already d adams stuff is great. but if like me and u need to buy some, the pit bull stand for the 1125 is really nice. | ||

If it's just the front tire/forks, a standard Pit Bull stand works fine. If the steering stem/triple tree needs surgery, then the rear stand with the bike strapped down (in the rear) and a jack under the exhaust would work. Personally, I'd like to get a K&L air lift, but it's another $1000 or so for one of those and I don't think I can slide that one by the purchasing department at this time. She says the $1600 I spent on all new gear is gonna have to last me a while. I'm just glad I had the stands already, or she'd complain about that too.  I thought I might get lucky and get an exhaust pipe for xmas, but I'm kinda doubting it now. | ||

I'd try to go for that if you were in the Stl area, but the commute is a little long to where you are now. On a side note, I forgot to mention, I did buy a No-Mar tire changer about 2 weeks ago. I guess I'm up to about $15K on this bike and all the accessories so far. Life is good.  | ||

Wow, this is a pretty sweet thread jack  I just got a pit bull rear stand. The one w/ no spools required. Sure, if you HIT it from the side, it could fall over. It's really stable, just sitting on the three pegs though. There are two rubber coated pegs under the bottom of the swingarm, and then one behind the swing arm, to ensure it doesn't slide off. Rock solid for my 10,000 service | ||

White79bu I might have missed this, but is your Ohlins steering damper specific for the 1125R? If not, any mods to install? Last, where did you get it from and the all important... how much $? Thanks | ||

Teach, The dampner is the Buell racing unit(dealer has to order directly from buell racing). It listed for $420? I had a gift card from the dealer that took care of 90% of it. The install wasn't real bad. It's just that buell sends you no instructions. Only a diagram. I think I had at least 3 hours in the install. If you want I can give a few tips that will cut that in half. |
