I love chicken... specially with some BBQ sauce on it. Sadly I most confess that although the 1125r reached 14k miles in under 6 months... it has only reached about 120 since June 21st when I picked up the Spyder... and that now has 19k miles on it. I just can't get off the thing. Saturday is booked with a wedding that I'm shooting and Sunday has long been taken by a family b-day out of state. I had a group of friends go to Headless last Saturday and they loved it... so I know you will all have a good time. |

Froggy, you got Dibbs on it, but I wont be looking to do anything until at least next spring/early summer. My engines seem to just love going out and sucking down some cold air... |

Since the track days and borrowing that suit I can see how crappy my leathers are and what a good fit is supposed to be like. Just thought I'd check it out and educate myself about proper gear, besides it's something to do. Any ideas as to what day you'd want to go up? |

Hey guys', Vanson is only 15 minutes from my house. If you guys' are comming out i'd like to show up.Vanson has a cool shop tucked away behind an old mill. Rich(trac95ker) you were right about the newer style "Lithium ion" motorcycle batteries. There's a new supplier posting on the Speedzilla/Ducati board about them. They say the lead acid battery is dead.Maybe you were right? Thanks for that heads up on the tech.

they've been using Li-ion in laptops and RC stuff for a long time. I don't know why it's taking so long to come to the auto market. The batteries have a constant discharge rate. Never over discharge the battery or it will chemically alter it and ruin it. If a cell goes bad in the battery, you can replace it. Correct charging is very important or you will ruin the battery. You may have to buy an adapter for your current charger or buy a spec charger for Li-ion. Will we meet you there or What? |

They look like A123 cells. Those batteries are very safe and hold up to abuse. They are starting to use them in cordless tools. They also can be charged at a high rate. I think the discharge rate is 40-60 amps per cell. |

Cool stuff. They ARE A123 (whatever that means)cells. The supplier states that they are NOT in fact Lithium ION but something a bit safer than Lithium ION. As far as Vanson goes,i'll leave that up to you guys'. Whatever you want. I can meet you somewhere, here,or there.Anything i can do.. |

Trac95er, it is the cost that is keeping them from cars. The Chevy Volt will be the first mass produced car to have them. But I do plan on putting one in my Buell, the stocker has been weak lately, even with being on the trickle charger. |
