one sunday a few years ago . . .. I rolled in early (approx 6:30) . . . there was a mid-sized motorhome there, jacked up level, obvisouly having spent the night . . . . good ol dad was standing in the door, squinting into the new moring, wondering where the HECK all these damn murdercycles came from . . . . . he was still figuring on how to leave a couple of hours later . . . tha'ts my second best HH story can you imagine? pull into this quite parking lot about 1:30 in the morning, with Dot and the twins sleeping in back, figure you'll get up early on a sunday (nop traffic on sunday mornings, right?), and get a jump on the day . . . . .giggle |

Hey Folks, An extended evening on Nov 8th sounds great to me. Any place we can sit, chat, get a little crazy sounds good to me. Good thing I put both cruise control, auto pilot and radar on the Miata. LOL |

I know..A girl's car...Geez Just remember it is (er, was till I moved back) set up for autocross. I liken it to a Gold Wing with training wheels, but maybe I should change that to Ultra Glide up here, eh? Racine...Gee, the 20 Grand Boyz still active? I am sure somebody of our vintage from Racine will remember. LOL For us commuters, I would think someplace with easy access to I-94 would be good. Can make a run down on Friday if you want. Have appointments all over town for the Buell and Miata this week. Duh. Doing the rocker gaskets and more in the attempt to prevent any impending problems. Seeing that Buell X1 at HH this weekend with the rocker box leak added all that much more to my conviction. What a freakin' mess that was. Also picking up new style chain tensioner and aftermarket oil pump drive gear for winter project. Love to ride, hate to push. Plus, I don't want to end up like Dyna! |

Bill . . .you could NEVER end up like Dyna! we're about the same height . . . . I sat in a first year miata, and had to have assistance getting out! my knes were up around my ears (ooo, I think I'm gonna here about THIS one) . .. . I know a guy who autocrosses an Audi . . .. I can hook you up, if your interesed . . .. I think he's out of the Chi SCCA Chapter Uke's is visable from 94, and, unlike in FIB-land, there's an exit for it (as opposed to being able to see your detinattion, but having no exit for another 12 miles |

Hows about the Brat Stop? Its only one exit from Uke's. Plenty of beer varietals (and probably wine coolers for Dyna). Large enough place to get our own corner of the world. They probably even have a Friday Night Fish Fry for the true WI experience. |

Brat Stop is Cool. Might have to call ahead to reserve a table for a Friday evening. I think they still have some form of entertainment on the weekends but could be wrong. Cracker Barrel just up the road from there as well at Taste of Wisconsin... Boiler room sounds cool too! Especially as it is a relation to Bads1 and they already had a Uke's funtion there. I think I am coming to the conclusion that this should be left up to the folks residing in the Kenosha/Racine area. They live there and know the area. For the rest of us, it is just a pit stop. LOL |

BREW CITY... Check out the "Team Elves Invade Wisconsin" thread and sign up there for attending the event and/or the social afterwards. For the "Silent Majority" in the group, Team Elves recently set a world record in their class at the Bonneville Salt Flats and will be at Uke's on Friday, November 8th between 4:30 and 6:30 PM to share in the excitement. You can catch up on the news by checking the BWB for the last month. Most of the info concerning the "Invasion" Is in Storm Fronts under Brew City, Uke's and Windy City. Again, if you plan to attend, Please sign up on the "Team Elves Invade Wisconsin" thread and advise how many you are bringing for the event and social gathering afterwards. Thanks, Bill |

Mennis... I am game. Went riding each day this week and am getting pretty acclimated to it. Today was the test. 23 when I left the house and was cruising between 60 and 80 with some sprints beyond. Then again after visiting a dealer today about the shock issue, my adrenaline was flowing. Still managed to keep a smile and be friendly. Kewl Dude |
