Hey Guys the Sporty guy posted a feedback to you....... Listen children Submitted by Doug Thompson on Tue, 11/04/2008 - 10:10. Exactly where did I say that it was my desire to outrun anyone? Where did I say that I engage in the childish behavior of racing other bikes on the street? I ride a bike for one reason: Pleasure. I generally ride within the speed limit and for the fun of it. I did the upgrades so I can have the power if and when I need it to avoid emergencies. I don't race Buells, BMWs, Suzukis or anything else on the road. As a journalist, I write too many stories about idiots who race on public roads and end up getting scooped up with a spatula by rescue squad personnel. If you want to race or talk about racing other bikes on public roads, do it elsewhere. This is not a blog about being foolish on a bike. And I don't care much for people who post childish "my bike will outrun your bike" foolishness while hiking behind an anonymous name. If you want to debate me, do so with your real name. |

what a wuss (doug thompson) he's the goof exclaiming how blown away he is with the work he had done to the sporty "for emergencies", he must be jerked that he spent all kinda money on his sporty and it will never be as fast or handle as well as a buell. |

Ooo! Touchy - touchy "Childish, idiots, foolish, foolishness?" Pretty thin skinned for a "journalist". l think you "diswespected his wittle bwogg". lf power is safety, then we have one of the safest HD powered bikes around. Hey, maybe we can get our insurance rates lowered. |

I like Sportys. I think the name is a little off, but a cool bike in my book. I'm just glad I noticed the H.P./TQ numbers between it and the XB before my purchase. BTW I carry a spatula just in case... |

Kinda ironic that some of the words here are spoken to me by some of my I4 buddies. Oh and Sportsters were one of the fastest bikes on the road back in the day, hence the name. |

Im curious as to why people got on there and posted crap about the dude doing some performance mods to his bike? Not everyone wants a sportbike... |

The way l read Ryan's response is he was trying to show Doug that his Sporty has potential. The Buell is just an example of that. Doug was too quick to assume the negative. lf you hang yourself out there for the public to see you have to be a little more objective. Sorry, but, l didn't see the troll in this. |
