It's a can that catches engine spooge. No, a stock XB vents into the intake. Do a search for catch can, there'll be more than enough reading to keep you busy for a while. (Message edited by glitch on November 04, 2008) |

Open air box (Usually a big hole in the air box) lets more air into the intake. More air more gas more power. Of course there's some debate over weather or not a stock ECM can handle it without running lean. A Race ECM handles it pretty well. If you have ECMSpy you can tune it for substantial power gains. |
