Godspeed, Officer Toner. My condolences to all his family and friends. The perp needs a Clockwork Orange treatment or several. His judgement will be forthcoming. |

Why is it illegal to do the exact same thing to the drunk driver? Sorry about the loss. I lose a little more faith in humans every day. |

God speed to a fellow brother. Here is an update for everyone. As of yesterday The idiot who intentionally ran over brother Toner, has been charged with murder, his second OWI, in less then two years, and his second leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Lets all hope and pray this man will get what he deserves and will never see the light of day to hurt another person again. Wilson, I will give you a call later on tonight and fill you in on what I have found out. I spoke with Lt. Goen about it last night and he filled me in. You can come over and have a drink in the new house. |

Funeral was today, it was a beautiful day that was previously forecasted to be rainy earlier. Craig's funeral was followed by a very long (but appropriate) procession with police, firefighters, city workers, all blocking traffic thru the town of Roseland where he was the Town Marshal, then through the city of South Bend to the cemetary. Burial was beautiful, two flags presented, one to his daughter and the other to his son Spencer who is in the Honor Guard in the Army. I wore my service uniform (US Navy), to pay my respects to a fellow serviceman, and police officer. Very emotional burial and during the gun salute while I was saluting, followed by TAPS, I fought to hold back the tears. Hearing TAPS sends chills throughout my body no matter when I hear it, but this one was different, deeper. I spoke with the family about my fellow riders, and told them that people from all around send prayers and condolences their way. They told me to tell all of you that it is appreciated. (damn, I have tears in my eyes but fighting it). Thanks again all....I posted this from my phone, so I apologize for errors as I didn't proof read it. Godspeed Craig...Godspeed brother. |
