Yeah mine was my fault. Lol. That turn sucked. I'm thinking of it as an opportunity to upgrade some parts that broke on my bike |

Garret went down too? DAMN! any injuries? With my incident, I was heading into a lefthander. Was riding behind a guy on a BMW Tourer, taking it pretty easy. I noticed him tap his brakes, so started to slow down and cover my front brake. All of the sudden he slams on his brakes. I start to get on mine, thinking ok, he is to the left hand side of the lane, I dont think I can get it stopped in time without hitting him cause he is slowing down FAST. See a door to the right, and just as I go for it, I see a cruiser with his rear tire locked up sliding into my lane. I see he is on a direct course with my route, so I start to brake harder. Feel the backend come off the ground as I barely miss him. Let off the front brake and sit the reartire down. Its not lined up with the front anymore and all hell kinda broke loose as the bike went into a slow tank slapper, then slammed me down on my right shoulder. Slid about 20 feet or so until I came to a stop. Bikes roughed up a little, but the other guys insurance should cover all repairs. Right now, my knee is hurting a bit and so is my hip. My G/F wrapped my knee up though with one of those things that takes the weight off it, feels a whooole lot better now. Im really glad I always wear most of my gear, and glad I wore a back protector today. Not sure if it saved any injury, but looking at how the plastic ankle guard on my boot looks like a kneeslider, I think it did its job in saving my ankle Btw, I had an absolute BLAST out there today. I like the way you guys do group rides, and I look forward to riding with yall again, without the crazy cruiser riders. |

That skidmark was 3/4 the way across your lane. I'm amazed you guys didn't make contact. On the way back, there is a really hairy tight right hander that is completely blocked by a house that is about 4' from the road. It's notorious. Garrett missed it. Fortunately, there is a road/parking lot on the other side of the road. Unfortunately, it's gravel. A few scratches on the bike, a few scratches on him, a snapped left footpeg leaving about 1" left. Sucky. |

Rndomchaos- Did you go get x-rays of said hip and knee??? If insurance is covering things you better do it sooner rather than later... and safer than sorry... my 2 cents- Pete |

Random- Where did you get the x-rays taken??? 1950.... today they usually can view those pretty quick and unless you are posting from a hand held in the lobby, that is kind of weird.... well maybe not, but I work in hospital and x-rays can be read as fast as 5 minutes but usually take a hour or two i suppose... the bruise is common in motorcycle crashes... hips no matter how wide you are don't have great padding... hence the importance of hip pads in pants... i'll leave it at that... Did they x-ray only or CT scan also... ??? |

The place that takes the x-rays is seperate from the doctors office i go to. They wont get the results back over there until tomorrow I think... not really sure. The x-ray tech didnt mention anything to me about it. I will give the doctors office a call tommorrow though. Thanks for the info Nathan Jeans do indeed suck. I knew I should have worn my 1-peice! |

Damn! I didn't know you guys rode like that! I'm sorry I missed it. I'm from Huntsville and it's about an hour or so to get up there. We usually ride up into TN to Lynnchburg. There are some really fantastic roads on the way. We should get your group and mine together one weekend. I predict fun! |

Plan on it. It'll probably get a little sparse for a few months, but come spring we'll be hittin' it. You ought to plan on running up to Suches for March Badness VI. |

I guess he didn't like the "hey douche bag cruiser rider why don't you take an MSF course and learn to use the front brake and not target fixate on my ass and skid 3/4 of the way across my lane" award. |
