"As an American, I intend to stand behind either man who is elected my president" Anyone who can't grasp this simple concept only erodes our great nation. |

Gohot, Linsey Williams hasn't said anything informed people dont already know. We know the oil is there and yes, the government ( democrats in Congress) wont allow drilling there. It's one big cluster f***. We dont control our lives. We are given the illusion of control. Think, "The Matrix". |

Yea, the Germans thought it was a great idea to stand behind Hitler and look where that led the world- over 60 million lives lost and the most heinous crimes against humanity on a scale the world had never known. So, please, spare me your cult of personality. I'll give support to leaders worthy of my respect and none to those that don't. Luckily, for me, some great Americans over 200 years ago thought it a great idea to risk their lives and follow their convictions against their King. |

I ride all year long. I rode yesterday and tomorrow I will be at Inside Pass. By the way Tramp.. I'm on to you. Same tactic as my mom used on us siblings when we were kids and started arguing amongst ourselves. She's try to change the subject by say "I think it's raining outside." Worked every time. Good move.. no good comes out of this original thread subject anyway. |

Does anyone here ride year-round? I used to. My riding partner doesn't own a car and rides year round, He is a screaming motorcycle fanatic and fascinating guy. |

Tramp Posted on Sunday, November 02, 2008 Does anyone here ride year-round? I can (and do); but because my Uly is a toy. I'm not forced to ride in the rain or when it's too cold (such as it is in L.A.) |

From what I've seen of ULYs, they are the ultimate 12-month machine |

I just have bikes now so I pretty much ride all year. I'm off to do my weekly back pack grocery run today. Works out that you can only put about 80 - 100$ worth in my backpack per trip. Rain. Wait, maybe I can just hold off and loot next week. Just kiddin. |

Its funny you mention backpacks- most guys seem to use bags, I prefer rucksacks (Hence, originally, the "Tramp" monniker bestowed upon me by an Austrian Angel in '02).. I way prefer rucksacks for lane-splitting and for keeping my things with me at all times. |

All year round here. But then again, I'm in Texas so it's not that bad in the "winter" here. |

I've got a back pack I'm getting ready to put on e-bay. Good one with the aluminum frame and the works . . .I hope there are some Boy Scouts out there. . . |

I use a backpack to carry my laptop when I commute. It works ok, except the carry handle on top interferes with my helmet when I turn my head. I'm either too fat (entirely possible) or the shoulder straps are too short. Anybody has suggestions for a good commute backpack? |

Any of you 2-3 season riders do anything to keep your skills honed, in your off-season? |

I try to ride year-round, but when I can't, I keep my skills honed by ingesting a lot of the mind altering chemicals I avoid during the riding season. I'm not sure if it's helping hone my skills, but it helps pass the time. |

I see Hockey, skiing and snowboar5ding as excellent off-season 'crispers' for 2-3 season riders |
