Court, thank you for posting the body parts pages, without it I would never of gotten the crazy idea in my head. Now you fueled my need to finish the conversion. If only they made a Hero Blue Uly seat... |

Froggy: One of the reasons I am a HUGE FAN of Buell having online "point-click-get" parts. How much more stuff would you get if you could sit at your desk and "shop"? That's the way I ordered all the cop stuff . . . when I saw the numbers I just ordered to see what would happen. That is a totally trick set-up you have. I'm thinking of you had my male model finely chiseled looks and your bike you'd be the total chick magnet. Me? . I'm off to ride toward your neighborhood. . . perfect day. |

One can be a fan of the idea even if the reality hasn't come to fruition. Yet. |

Will you post a photo with it on? Intake cover too. What color wheels do you have? |

So are you swapping out the front fairing for a Uly? |

Yep. I missed out on the pieces on eBay the other day, got sniped at the last second. Once I get it, I will be getting it powder coated or something in black |

I hate to be a copy-cat but I'm also down with the hero blue. Emailed Pete at Grandstand about having the stock ULY wheels powder-coated in the candy translucent blue. Just gonna be a pain in the butt to lay the bike up for two weeks with no wheels, given that I park in a commercial garage and can't wrench on it there. Tipsy |

Tipsy I can loan you my Sunset orange wheels if you want. There is no rear brake rotor and the tires are pretty much square, but if you want to borrow them its no problem |

Thanks Froggy...I might take you up on that if for nothing more than to allow the bike to be pushed around the garage. I'll either have to work on it in my parents garage in Western, MA or possibly at a buddies place in Staten Island. Either way, it would be nice to be able to roll it around. Still can't decide if I wanna grab the CityX intake cover while I'm here (and remove the plastic X) or go with the cover intended for the SS. The City X cover seems like a good deal though. Did you say something about there being venting issues? Are all XB intake covers not interchangeable? Tipsy |

03-05 XB don't have a vent by the gas cap, its blocked off. The 1125's are the same way. 06 and newer XB bikes have a vent. Worst came to worse, the cover you get dosen't have the vent, and you can yank it off your stock cover and swap. Requires a little bit of glue to get it to stick back on. |

I see...thanks for the lesson. I'll probably just go with the SS cover. Tipsy |

Also take note of the decals, my bike has the cover off an 06 CityX, as that was the only year they made it with the vent and the American Motorcycles decal. They switched to a similar decal in 07 that dosen't have the American Motorcycles, and now again the 09 decal is different. |

HVMP extra heavy. They freaking rock. I only got them because the stock bar nubs kept popping out on me, but the significant reduction in vibes is a bonus http://www.hvmp.com/universal.htm 1500-2000 RPMS is rougher than stock, but everything else is Goldwing smooth (Message edited by froggy on November 04, 2008) |

I put the HVMP on this morning before leaving for a 238 mile ride. Well worth the money. Extraordinarily well made and they . . . . well, they just work. |

Great, thanks for the offer Court, me and Tipsy will be in contact if/when needed Thanks to both of you! I've got to come up with a game plan. I'd like to rotate the engine too so I can remove the header for Jet-Hot coating. Need to determine if it's feasible to tear it apart all at once. Would be a much easier decision if I had my own garage. Tipsy |

You need Henrik's good ol' loft. He had a freight elevator and it was a snap to ride up the ramp, in the elevator, up to the 4th floor, down the hall, and take a right at Henrik's. He had what I would describe as a "10 bike loft" . . . niiiiiiiiiiiiiice. |

I put the HVMP bar ends on yesterday and went on a 247 mile ride and they worked great. Sounds exactly like Court's post but it is true. Great item plus a little extra protection in case of a down. |

I'm placing an order for one of these. Just need verification on that part number. Already got the intake cover. The bike code (BX) just doesn't seem to match up with the Uly. Looks very cool. Wheels next maybe. Anyone have black rims they don't need or want to trade for my heavy duty silver ones? |

Lastcyclone, the part numbers are good. The BX is part of the color code, not bike code. |
