Got it on late last night. Pretty easy install. Only problem was the screw that they supply for the tank was the wrong thread. I had another so it was no big deal.

This weekend is a two day trackday at Arroyo Seco. I'll have a good chance to use it.

Super easy to use and easily tunable. No more head shake on the throttle through bumps. What else can I say?

How does it actually mount to the triple clamp? do they supply a new headstem bolt or do you have to drill?

A pic is worth a thousand words, so to speak.

It looks exactly like this:

It's very easy to install and there's no drilling. Loosen the stem pinch bolt, remove the stem bolt/cap, put their bolt/cap on & torque to stock value, set their plate on the triple clamp, put their nut on and torque to 40 ft/pd, put the top on and tighten the two allen screws. Remove the right front airbox cover screw, slide their bracket onto the arm, tighten their airbox screw and arm set screw.

You're done.

You might want to know that you'll need a 1 3/8" socket for their nut that goes on top of the plate.

Duggram - I just ordered mine. Quick question. Will a tank bag strap still fit under the airbox cover screw?

I have to admit that this looks to be the best all around designed anti-confidence killer yet...its now on my list for winter upgrades.

Thank you all that have tested it for the rest of us!

Won't fit a CR, cause the bar mount goes right over the stem.

Sly, what are trying to say? I don't understand. Have you ever been leaned over at about 90 coming out of a fast sweeper hit the bump and had the steering head shake on you? Now with the GPR I can just let the front end come up and go straight. I think it's a confidence builder. So maybe I'm not understanding what you're trying to say.

Carbon and 07, sorry about the bars.

I have one one mine really works great, and the fact that adjustment can be made on the top is great too.

Antelope Valley Buell just installed one on the bike that Eric Pinson will be racing. REALLY looks nice. It wasn't being ridden at Inside Pass yesterday but it was there to look at.

Having JUST installed the Buell racing damper and suffered the inconvenience, I'd seriously consider a GPR - especially in light of its easy access while riding.

beautiful. im getting a gpr, hopefully for christmass so much stuff to get not enough cash.

are those tree's really that much lighter, and i believe they're lighter. it doesnt take much to beat cast aluminum in strength.

do they leave ur bars in the same position.

for the gpr how high does it come up off the triple tree.

Easy,

Is the bar position the same with your new trip tree,( Absolutely Gorgeous) it looks a little lower.

Was the install pretty straight forward with decent instructions or is the Buell manual sufficient.

Thanks,
Les

My own GPR arrived today, direct from San Diego; man, their delivery is fast! Had to be translucent blue to match all the blue on my white 09, of course (including its hero blue x-guard airbox).

Those of you who have it mounted, any guidance on the initial setting of the dial? I see Easy's setting in his pic above, but suspect it might be a track bike, so specify if your setting is for street or track, please.

And thanks again BWB for the info that led to this purchase (which was nearly half of what my first, used motorbike cost).

Cheers

I use 11 on the track. Still seems a little light but then I hate the head shake in the bumps.

Can you tell I was up late last night? My logic is backwards. I hate head shake so I use 11 which is more than my friends like. I have a Sportster streettracker with a Storz damper and I keep it up pretty tight. Don't like the wobbles either.

NOW your first post makes sense, duggram. Thanks for the input.

I'm sure once I get the GPR mounted I'll understand how I'll know when I get to 11. I had a quick read over the instructions (which, as a commercial writer myself, I'll say could've been heaps better) and STILL have to assume that when 0 is at 12 o'clock, I will have no damping, etc. Which is the way it's delivered, but I haven't had a play with it (still in the package).

That's 'cause I'm a big baby: it cost me A$800 landed, which is a week's pay here.

I'd say you have it. 0 @ 12 is no damping. Enjoy and good luck.
