recently got a 2001 Blast in July. Had the rocker box gaskets changes, fresh oil. Was supposedly set until 10,000 mark. Was riding home and heard a "ticking" noise. Suddenly the bike dies and is making a loud noise like grinding gears. Was not able to put into neutral at first. When I got it home, tried to start it up, still made that hideous noise, and a piece of the air intake slivered off. literally. But it did go into neutral. Someone mentioned they think I might have thrown a rod, or froze a piston? What does it sound like to you? HELP!!!!! |

Sounds like your bike needs a competent mechanic to take a look at it. Not much you can do via internet forum. If you are truly interested in diagnosing the problem, you'll need to start tearing into the thing. Doesn't sound good. But it is an exceedingly easy engine to work on. Go for it. |

Is it possible they drained one fluid and filled something else? I'm not familiar with the Blast, but if they drained the transmission, but thought it was the engine oil..... |

I don't know about Blasts either, but my M2 Cyclone uses the same in the engine as the primary. Hey just my way. |

Rdkingryder +1 Sounds like they have drained the primary and not refilled it. |
