bear tooth pass would be my guess too. that was a cool road to be going up. us flatlanders do get out of the state once in a while. just not enough. |

A few of the shots show gravel/dirt roads, which wouldn't be beartooth. I also don't quite remember the pine trees like that (but I could've definitely forgotten) I'm going with Pikes Peak. |

Yeah, it looks like Pikes Peak and one shot has a good view of what looks like Colorado Springs in the background. My first thought was highway 550 or Loveland Pass but they do not turn to dirt. There has been some snow on the Peak lately, at least it had some snow when I looked at it today. http://www.pikespeakcolorado.com/ |

Barker, hope you had a good visit out to Gods Country.... Did you see any other sites? I love Garden of the Gods this time of year. It was over 70 degrees today and looks like a great weekend coming up. Frank |

I know exactly what you mean. Perfect machine for riding up a fast flowing river or an escarpment (I have the tee shirt). Misery for a long haul. |

Pikes Peak, I did that in May in a mini-van with front brakes that were metal to metal. I knew that the midway ranger check station was going to check my brakes, so I stopped before the station and let things cool down a little. I still owe on my credit card for all the jewelry that I bout at the little rock shop sitting at the bottom of the run. Colorado is the place to be, every road has a curve in it. Yesterday(in Michigan) I was walking across a muddy cold wind blown parking lot, I looked up in the sky and saw dark snow clouds way above and I thought out loud "thats where the mountains are in Colorado". |

Yeah - dig it - Inspired me to go and look for some epics as well. There was this time we hired a giant helicopter and flew around Fiordland.

A friend of mine lives near Fort Carson but I've only visited him before by flying. You've just convinced me that next summer I need to make a 2-wheeled trip out there. |

Great pics. RamondT and I will be hunting a few miles form Rocky Mountain National Park all weekend. We have to get up early, it's an hour drive. Life is hard. |

Just so you know, that is why I left Nashville 4 months ago. You should come back next July to watch a Buell win the hill climb...I know a secret...I'm pretty sure Ducati doesn't stand a chance. |
