Kenw - good to hear from you again. Good luck in your new endeavor. Mennis - I might be interested in Sunday ride to Starved Rock, but wouldn't be able to leave until around noon. Rode real nice circuit last Sunday with Big Karl and one of the stops was Starved Rock. I'll describe the route I took because it might allow others to pick up and peel off along the way. I left home (near HH) at 11:00AM and was back by 7:00PM. Just a suggestion....let me know if anyone is interested. Highland House to I-90 west to Rt-31 south. Rt-31 south along FOX River to St. Charles. St. Charles over to Rt-47 south. Rt-47 south to Rt-23 (at Morris, IL) Rt-23 west (along IL River) to Starved Rock. Rt-251 north to Rt-52 north to Dixon, IL Rt-2 north (along Rock River) to Byron or Rockford, IL. Once there, everyone gets home by whatever route you want (fast or slow). Lots of scenic choices. |

Congrats Ken Had a feelin the Continental thing was only temporary, as I too worked for them in the past as their Nissan Service Manager for appx 8 1/2yrs so I knew what you were in for(politics and all...) And I too just this week accepted a new job going back to my roots as a Nissan Service Manager(again...)@ Kelly Nissan in Oak Lawn. I tried the Body Shop thing for just over a year, and found the path I chose @ Gerber had a dead end, and it was time to move on. Good luck Ken and keep in touch... As for the Starved Rock ride mentioned above...I had mentioned this ride for our Chapter a couple months back, but others felt we could do a ride to Lake Geneva instead...well those who were to organize this dropped the ball... So enjoy your ride from Highland House(back to Starved Rock). See Ya Ray p.s. remember Chapter nominations @ our next meeting...nominees must be there to accept. |

Christmas Party! Saturday Dec.7th at Brad and Andi's house at 7pm. We checked out Chili's to go platters and we could always do the same as last year. We always eat out on weekends, so we'll try to get more info on catering. Does anyone have any suggestions on their favorite kinds of foods? It could be a discussion at the meeting. One more thing, we now have a pool table and we built a bar last winter so there will be plenty of fun! Brad and Andi |

For a chapter President to point fingers at others, for not setting up a ride, in my opinion is foolish, especially for a Pres. who rarely participates in chapter rides, this is the second time you have complained about the lake geneva ride so far, even if the ride was set up, i doubt you would have gone, the first time you made statements about the ride why didnt you come up with a ride yourself, instead of being part of the problem, why didnt you become part of the solution, also please remember temps have been 10 to 20 degs. below normal, i belive most would have decided to stay home for most of the weekends in Oct. if you can not be positive why be at all??? |

To slam someone with an anon post is nice. I think it would have worked if the chapter knew one way or another if it was or wasn't going to be done. If the weather sucked then it would not have happened. |

two minutes after I post I thought of adding that. Thanks for beating me to it Bomber. That is what is great about democracy any one can run and win, and it is usally the people who don't vote complain the most. I will second anyones nomination. Is the Tot run the Sunday after the Party? |
