Yea I'm alive. Been busy with home life since I got back from N. Ireland. Working on getting my Jeep back on the road. I've neglected it for way too long and it's time to get it going again. I miss driving it. I want to drive it for the winter and get the bugs out of it. Then decide if I want to sell it in the spring.

Unfortunately after sitting for so long my tires are all dry-rotted. Anyone have any 31 or 32's laying around? Sucks cause these still have plenty of tread left. |

ok boys.... so i,ve officially pulled the bike off the road as i've got a lot to do this winter. the wheels are goin in for powder coating this week. anyways over the winter i'll be doin some powder coating at my brothers house and figured i'd offer the service up if you guys have any smaller parts you like done while i'm doin it. he's only got a kitchen oven to work with so nothing too big( levers, shifters, pegs and larger pieces) you'd have to purchase the powder colors you'd like but thats it. oh yeah Jimmy(BRO) i'll be doing some powder coating at the house this winter. thanks pal. so let me know if anyone is interested. |

I really don't want to PC other peoples stuff until we can properly strip it or they supply it prepped. Our results with air craft remover have been fair but I wouldn't to have someones piece messed up on them. |

i'll revise my earlier offer as my brother brings up a good point....any pieces you like powder coated need to be clean(bare metal) so only the powder will need to be done. happy bitch! |

Shawn, I'm interested in doing my heel guards, pegs, levers and maybe my tail (already chopped). I can have it all bare. before anyone makes a comment, I did say that my chopped tail would be bare. anyway, let me know what your time frame is. I need more black. |

This Sunday afternoon I will be going to look at a Buell with my father. It will be his first Buell if he decides to buy it. Which I am sure we will be leaving with it. He hasn't had a bike in 20 years. I am very excited for him and can't wait till the winter is over. |

If anyone needs help stripping, I could sandblast your parts for you. How does powder coat come out on a sandblasted finish? |

I could sandblast your parts for you. How does powder coat come out on a sandblasted finish? Depends on the specific media you are using... When I do it.. I strip what I can.. then media blast it... Steel, sandblasting is fine.. aluminum, a FINE sand, glass, or organic is good(though I have used normal "sand" on aluminum with good results). Its best to take it straight from the blast cabinet, to the powder rack, then, spray away.... THIS way, nothing gets in there to contaminate... Only problems I ever had, were humidity related...
