Th'pack warming up to head out after a good session of Dunkin' Donuts coffee and donuts, for a quick bLeakfast (Yes, I know it's misspelled....please don't ask) When Holly and I left Mikestock, last night, brews were not scarce, and empties less so- this AM, Hammer was fresh as a daisy, or at least a leatherneck goddam Bulldog. We expect more than twice as many riders, tomorrow, for the main event, with a promise of a BRIGHT, warm sunny run date. I f**king love this run.

Johnnylunchbox pulled safety detail, he's watching the rear of the pack... The route that Hammer put together sounds absolutely kickass, spanning two river valleys and two different mountain groups. JLB's medivac-Uly:

Nice- we'll see you then, Bjorn- There'll be some of us at the gate by 08:30, we couldn't find any hiding spot for the Rangers' gate keys, so we'll likely wait for the rangers. We'll probably chill for a good hour or so before shoving off in the am.... If you have the Buell 25 year book that Court wrote, bring a copy to get it signed. I am taking the Buell... BUT, its on a trailer. While I did manage to snag a coil, and some extra plugs.. Not trusting it THAT much yet. So, the phone will be on, and answerable... I am sorta predicting them to be at Mike's by about 5ish..... And, I have directions to the afternoon stop. Chase |

NICE! Don't worry, we always seem to have extra parts floating about, here. Don't worry, the afternoon stop is VERY simple to find. Mikestock promises to be a nice time with a large bonfire. It will be nice to meet you, Chase. |

Glad ya made it back ok, check those wires. As for my wire issue.. Both wires came off the plugs and the front wire was cut in 4 places as well as rubbed completely through in the middle, thank god for having spares lying around. Lookout is CROSED due to it being to bright out. |

Wasn't sure if I was going to make this - been battling a cold all week - but the girl in my life turned me onto Afrin and all is well in the world. Will be heading down with Doon, meeting around 6am and plan on getting there around 8:30-9:00. |

Thanks Hammer I was completely spent when I got home I couldn't even get off the machine. I had to put it on the stand and sit there for a couple seconds before I could get off. I will check out the bike today went the last 15-20 miles on 1 cyl. and that was starting to fail. Big props to all you guy's from offering a garrage to a ride home Sean even rode with me all the way to Warwick and made sure I was ok to roll out of NY. Thanks a million Dave |

The group is off to a fabulous start . . . . after a funny episode of " Tramp, Tramp who hid the Tramp" as we were moved to successively more convenient and more acceptable locations. First the Park Policeman (who could not have been a nicer guy) explained we could not all sit on the road near the gate. He moved us to the parking lot. Next the operator of a 1 ton dump truck (can you imagine a better authority vehicle) from the grounds crew, no doubt fearing what would happen if the 30+ donut eating motorcyclists went on a rampage, moved us to the "20 Minute - Building "A" Admin" parking. Next it was the operator of a tractor mounted leaf blower (the second such individual we'd encountered thus far) who mistakingly failed to realize that Tramp's "Leave Blower Diplomacy" had been previously honed at the Perkins Drive Gate and fell victim to a Tramp induced version of the Jedi Mind Trick . . . "you don't want these motorcycles to move . . . you've got plenty of leaves to blow elsewhere" as he merrily John Deere'd off silhouetted in the rising sun. The hospitality, and I'll post some pics when they download and planning, could not have been better. . . . ditto the weather. . . perhaps one of the prettiest days of the year in the gorgeous Hudson Valley. Too Bad you could not join us on the ride Court. You missed the "Outlaw Vespa Gang"! Wonderful times with good people on a gorgeous day. I had a blast. Can't wait to do it again. |

What a day! . . . . kudos to the folks who put this years event together . . . . although I was doing 4-wheels today (I've included a couple teaser pics of the other deal I had to go to) I did wrangle a route map and am looking for a day next week to run the route. It was a spectacular day and fun to see old friends again . . . (Message edited by court on October 26, 2008) |

What a beautiful day- GREAT people, as always. Really wonderful to meet more of the folks from this board, and always an honour and an education to catch up with Court. While we couldn't do much about the morning's wet leaves after the night's storms, and we couldn't avoid all of the afternoon traffic, it was still a real blast, and now a fine tradition. We've got plenty of '07 shirts left, cheap, for anyone who'd like 'em, too. Blowin' em out for $10- plus shipping (which is usually really cheap, too) S,M,XL still available. |

And , again, thank You, Hammer, for the Michelin Pilot. It really made my day. Thank you for looking out for the run participants, too, as you always do. Nothing instills confidence better than the presence of a US Marine |

Thanks... today is one of the best, and more relaxing times I have had... since, hell, I dont know... Tranny is most likely toast. Primary chain is slapping against the case... and it doesnt even wanna roll off the trailer... I will deal with it tomorrow... BUT, as long as that, and my flat, are the only carnage.. good weekend... Again, thanks to all... Chase |
