Hey all. Picked up an 1125R today! First I'd like to thank Josh at Buell Appleton WI. for going above and beyond great customer service. And Ernie for setting up the bike for me. Ernie also warned me to take it easy with the new tires. He probably save my bike from going down with that warning because I wouldn't have thought of it, with the excitement of having a new bike. Also like to thank Jeff at Hales Buell in Mansfield, OH. great guy to deal with. And thanks for BadWeatherBikers! Only 140mi. so far but riding home in the dark with temps. in the mid. or upper forties, I can say the headlight works fantastic and the heat blasting on my feet was perfect! And the sound... AWESOME! I had test driven an 1125R with a carbon fiber Jardine RT5 ( something five ) but I'm no racer and really like the looks of the stock "can" better anyway so that's what I bought. Also love how nimble the bike is. I can add more but I'll save it for later. Kevin |

Welcome aboard Kevin The thing is amazing. Make sure you get the reflashes and recalls done (which it should have already, if you just bought it), it'll make the bike even MORE ridable. Amazing bike, careful...5k rpm in first will throw your front wheel in the air if you romp on the throttle |

Quaker for bike night Rode through there once. So many people I didn't stay. I have stopped and hung out at the Amoco on E. Wash. once or twice but it has been awhile. reflashes and recalls Ernie told me it was up-to-date. Side-stand spring, oil dip-stick, fuel over-flow reroute, and reflashes. Even has a plug for a battery trickle charger. Runs really smooth. "it only gets better" Just like a lover. But with a lot less maintenance. So today I put on another 115 miles. 247 total miles. Comfortable riding bike. My first ride on this bike was Mon. I hopped on at the dealership for a test ride. On take off from stopped, I launched as if on an XB and promptly stalled the engine. Turning to Rich the sales guy I said, "I never did that before". Yesterday when I picked up my bike and again today I've stalled the engine twice. But towards the end of riding today I think I've got the ratio of gas to clutch down pretty well. Kevin } |

Welcome, the 1125R is addicting... On the clutch, if you had the latest recall, as you let out the clutch the rpm's should slightly rise with out giving any throttle, (I just match the r's at this point and go, it is rather easy once you get used to the hyd clutch and computer assist). Have fun up there in MadTown, I used to live up in Green Bay but now reside in Hattiesburg MS. I miss it up there, but don't come January. It is rather nice being able to ride down here in the Mighty Sippi... V/R, Nick |

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. So today the Superbike has had another 58 miles added to the odometer. I focused on letting the clutch out till it began engaging then gave it throttle. That worked very smoothly. While riding, the bike is so refined and enjoyable I didn't even notice the chilly 51 degree F temperatures outside. Towards the end of my ride one word kept running through my head, nirvana. Kevin |
