Low speed occasional pop through the carb? and bottom end transition opening throttle from idle up 5 or 6 hundered more RPM, then top is ok, and accelerates very good Carb kit/45 jet @ 450-500 foot altitude , V&H SSR can, S&S air cleaner are the only mods. And I ride moderatly almost all the time. Coil?, connections? Jetting????, any thoughts out there, thanks Rich

Idle mixture is too lean.

Have you taken the plug off the idle mixture adjustment screw and have you changed the slow speed jet yet? A definite must on tube framers.

Goin'a look into these remedys, thanks Guys Also read a simmilar thread where the manifold doughnut was miss installed and not sealing properly, caused the above symptoms too.

Turned out to be a vacum line that was incorectly hooked up
