Felix, it went okay. I do the physical test the 15th. Hopefully my fat @$$ passes. Then wait to see if I get picked. |

Does anyone have the measurements of the K&N for the force or could someone measure one, please... I would like to order this week and I forgot to measure before I left home. I never would have guessed there are so many choices! http://www.knfilters.com/search/UnivOvalTap.aspx |

Tripp, silver requires up keep? do you mean just cleaning it more often because its a lighter color or does the silver wear off and flake or something? Greg, I think Felix told me he re-coated his pipe once or twice. (Message edited by 03worc9r on October 20, 2008) |

I wouldn't go to anyone but JetHot. I had my headers done by a small company out of CT and I wish I had spent the extra $$$ on sending them to JetHot. My D&D was sent straight to Jet Hot, and I am NOT happy with the results. The H-Y pipe.... Its the Sterling... ANYWAY... I think with a local company, you will have better results in the warranty process than I did.... Chase |

You guys wont "feel" much of a difference w/ the Jet Hot coatings, want it to be cooler you need to wrap it. Mine are wrapped 2x, Big Improvement. I never been a big fan of the coatings, they never seem to last w/ the amount of heat a V-Twin puts out. Especially around the bends near the heads. just my lousy .02 |

The only way to get any real temp reduction, is the coat inside and out... AND, I believe that the silver is the best(just trying to remember what THEY said). Anyway, I only had about 175* reduction at the rear elbow... With wrap, it would be much better. The coating on mine, was mostly to stave off rust... which, didnt work all that great. And for the Sporty, its just my heat shields, and muffler I want coated. NEEDED to get rid of that chrome... Chase |

Felix, you are waisting your time, There is NO PAINT that will stay on the headers, no matter what you do. Just ask Jimmy about that, he believes me now...he tried multiple times, multiple brands, multiple ways. To much heat.... |

never heard of them, btw the cheapest i could find the repl. element for was $65. the nicest set-up for a cyclone is either buell race, mali-air, or nrhs race. all top of the line, all very expensive. best bang for the buck is the big sucker but it mounts to close for it to work for a daddy long leg dude like you. that simona seems to be priced right anyway. |

I've heard of them...seem to make a solid product from what I've been told. My neighbor used to install them when he was working full time as a bike machinist. |

Nowind.. I just traded my HBBI C.F. Ram Air setup for an Air Tech.. The Simota is the brand and the element is like a K&N. It installed nicely and looked good, but be warned, those intakes are HUGE. When I had the HBBI on my M2 I liked the performance on the highway, but just couldn't look at it any more it must have stuck 8" out from the side of the bike. I currently run a NHRS Hurricane flow and LOVE it. I think it looks MUCH better, and throttle response was better instantly. At first it seemed pricey but it is worth every penney. I actually had a thread going about this topic in the M2 section not too long ago.http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/388615.html?1221354915 Just my 2 cents (Message edited by pitbuell_ma on October 22, 2008) |

Not going to HH4? Unless you're in the sandbox (like Eric and Scotty) or stuck working...then you're on your own...loser!!! just kidding...all you have to do is get on the bike and go ride! |
